Official release is what's relevant. Alpha didn't even have full content, it was missing some things and is purely a bonus to patrons and also gives a chance to test & report bugs. So, 5 months since last official, full release. The last update was in May for the alpha version so it's 6 months right now, This site is a way to advertise to get more fans, sure people test the product here and decide whether they want to support the dev or not. I don't think the dude is saying anything other than saying it's taking to long for the update compared to his previous updates. Is the dev trying for a steam release? that's what most devs are doing right now and that's why they have taken longer to deploy the updates.
If someone thinks it's taking too long, that's one thing, but when someone does it with ignorance and an attitude and hasn't had to pay anything, it's kinda rude and irritating isn't it? Especially when it spreads false information that could affect a new, potential player's decision to play.
And anyways, there are many innocent reasons to consider for longer release intervals, for example improvement in render quality means longer render times.. reaching critical junctures in the story.. dev burnout (hint: being rude and whiny doesn't help with that
