Oh, boy. You have my sincerest sympathies for that ~5-6 month gap between "real updates" due to the chp 1 rework. There's surely going to be a flood of a-holes and negative nancies griping about "no new content for half a year", "when's the next update, its been 6 months already i dont care about replaying chp 1", "is this game abandoned" and so onAshe has really become one of my favorites over this update.
Gabby was just in the last update! D: In any event, she's not going anywhere. I laid this out in a patrons-only post, but my plan for the next few updates is basically as follows:
- Viola and Ashe (next update, coming soon)
- Mason, Alex, Risa, Gabby, and Madison (Early-mid August)
- Redo of Chapter One/bugfixes (October/November?)
- Gabby, Viola, and Brittani (January-February)
But, anyways, I'm looking forward to all of these updates very much
Madison is basically the only character of yours so far that I haven't been sold on yet; maybe that's a me thing, though Preach brother!
Fair enough, but just food for thought: if everyone did that, these games would never be made. It's not comparable to like a AAA game company or something like that with already established investment. Any worthwhile endeavor requires SOMEONE to front the money for an unfinished product, and for VN games, it's necessary for the consumers to be the ones to do that. Kind of puts it into perspective imo. Ofc, I can't say shit since I don't pay right now either due to financial issues. I have to admit that I benefit from other people's money and hard work, and though saying it isn't enough, I'm very appreciative if any patrons are here reading

It's definitely a goal! That said, I really kind of like the idea of putting a nice, completed game out on Steam, so I doubt I'll be doing the thing where I put it out and then repeatedly update it over the course of months-to-years. Id much rather find a nice stopping point in the next few updates where I can go, "Alright, we're halfway to the end -- so, this is FiN: Part One, and now we're going into Part Two, to wrap it up."
But, before that happens I'd also want to add some proper animations, SFX, and music to the game. Plus, the whole process of applying to and being accepted by Steam is an ordeal in and of itself, and I'll want to give it my full attention.

Honestly, I do get why people will be annoyed with it, but the redone Chapter One really will be like a whole new chapter. There's so much more Nicki, Brent, and MC in the lead-up. I seed the whole Cassie plotline. We meet Carolina earlier. The sex scenes with Nicki are more diverse. It'll be a whole thing.I've actually got a Madison short story teed up that I really want to share, showing what she was like before she met Gabby and Ryan.. But, I try to drop those when they align with the upcoming chapters heavily featuring the characters (hence why Viola and Ashe have been featured recently), so we won't see it for a bit.
I won't lie, FiN is basically a part-time job for me, and I treat it like one due to the financial support. If it wasn't doing as well as it is, I'd probably go buy a pressure washer and start cleaning houses. Something where I could get a little more sun and exercise than pornography really allows. :'D
But, I feel very strongly that if people are giving me their hard-earned money, then I need to do my best for them. Now, that may not be other people's best -- I know people would love monthly updates, and more this, and more that. But, unless this becomes my full-time gig and I can devote 40+ hours a week to it, this is basically my max output.
All that said, while financial support is a huge motivator, I also just love hearing from people who are enthusiastic about the game. I really appreciate anyone who cares enough to leave a nice review, put one of my sigs in their profile, or chime in here or on the public Patreon/SubStar posts with comments. That stuff does a lot to keep me excited about the game, and it's why I love putting out new releases, and getting everyone's feedback.

I will say, I don't have the extra funds or balls to sub to AVG creators and explain that subscription to my wife...But I do love your game and actually should post a review actually, TBH I never do reviews but it seems that they do help...FiN has been one of the 5 links I picked in my sig though... I really enjoy the quality and story of this game and the amount of choices...it is very impressive you do this all by yourself...

Ashe has a lot of trouble at her job it seems because her first-line supervisor is a jealous bitch. I've worked for someone who resented me before and this just wears you down. Every day you feel like you are going to a coal mine even if you love your job. If you are doing the asshole Guy run you leverage this to your advantage but I think that Ashe has to deal with it in both paths.

I don't think that's going to work with Ashe in the long run, though. She seems to want a distinguished gentleman on the barstool but a caveman in bed. Some women are funny that way.
