So I think both numbers being 100k is being coincidence is too unlikely and like you said if Neon won't change those numbers I think my interpretation is the likely option. That means Nicki was aware of the 100k, she said Brent did it without her knowledge with simple logic from both statements Nicki was lying.
Obviously she was aware that Brent asked her to try for 100k, when the fuck did she lie about that though? If it's such simple logic, explain it then. I'll bet that you can't though.

There is obviously some amount of discrepancy between chapter one and the cohesive narrative of the ensuing chapters. Hence the rework upcoming. Once we have to replay from chapter one we will all have a refresher and be better able to pin down the content of the conversation between Nikki and Brent that instigated the entire game. We were not privy to it, so we can only infer whose idea it was, for example, or what the ultimate purpose of the ask was. We only have Nikki's word on the subject and seem invested in never hearing Brent's side of the story just because we dislike him. However, the dispute between them as to the amount Nikki was to request from Guy is of note and I believe that it will stay in order to muddy the waters when it comes to Nikki. After all, if we believe her to be fully innocent or fully guilty both of those make her a far less interesting character.

There is no dispute, except from people who just want to hate her and twist anything they can find to support that hate. There is literally no other reason to think that she was lying, we aren't just taking her word for it, we can be party to their phone call for Christ's sake!

Dude this become wild goose chase and we are on the edge of spamming, so I am not gonna continue. Either we do not understand each other or one party is misunderstanding the game, either case no big deal.

All I said was, the money mentioned on the phone (100k) is the same money mentioned second time when Nicki came second time and explaining what happened to her within that 3 months and she knew that all along. When she was talking about it, she acted like she learned everything including that 100k after happened. Therefore, the lie.

Like I said before, I do not have any intention to continue this. You fail to show me that was not the case and I failed to show you that was. Anyway, thank you for your thoughts and insight from game. Thank you both Master of Puppets and EvolutionKills for this exchange.

I was not aware of the rework. What should we expect, do you know?

So you can't actually explain your simple logic. Imagine my shock.

My take on Nicki is she's in an abusive relationship with Brent. Maybe physically, maybe not, but at least financially and emotionally. That kind of thing, where her money goes into an account he controls, him spending her money on stupid shit, etc, are all classic signs, as is her defending him as "not always/normally like that."

She's still responsible for her own actions and choices, but given what the situation sounds like her behavior doesn't seem out of the ordinary at all.

Exactly. This Brent dude is just another abusive toxic male like Jamie, Brittani's boyfriend and Gabbie's ex, but Jamie is younger than Brent, therefore he hasn't excalated his behaviour yet.

Now, I'm just wondering whether anyone is going to ask for a no-Brittani or a no-Gabbie patch, too.

The fucking damn truth is that these Nicki-haters have a serious problem with her because she dared to taste a dick which is not MC's, and this is a capital offense to them.

So if someone is on Patreon and only officially has access to the Friends Indeed version, where would the patch to convert it to Friends In Need be located?

Pretty decent this latest update, just two things needed to improve it. 1. More Gabby content, especially the lewd kind with MC. 2. More Ashe content, all types with MC.

That means Nicki was aware of the 100k, she said Brent did it without her knowledge with simple logic from both statements Nicki was lying.

100K is shorthand, and a nice big round number. Was Nicki's debt actually exactly 100K? No, of course not. Brent wanted 100K cause it's a large amount, Nicki owed 100K because it was a large amount; and NeonGhosts was just using large evocative numbers. Now if Brent had pushed Nicki to ask for exactly 79.5K, and later her debt was also that same strangely specific 79.5K? Yeah, you'd have more of a leg to stand on here.

But I don't think the actual numbers matter any more than the MC's actual wealth. They're meant to be evocative, a measure in relative change in each circumstance. When Nicki asks for 20K in help, and Brent on the phone wants 100K just because? That relative difference represents Brent's douche-baggery as measured in the orders of magnitude more money he wanted. When Nicki returns and tell of how Brent left her holding the bag, the increase in debt is meant to illustrate the relative increase in desperation and pressure on her. Neither of those numbers had to be exactly 100K, they just needed to be larger than 20K to illustrate the point; and again, 100K is a nice big round number that is both evocative and within the realm of possibility.

Also, if Nicki was really on the hook for 100K back in Ch1, that means nothing she said is true. The story about using 20K as collateral can't be true. Also, how did they even get into 100K in debt in the first place if they were in a paycheck-to-paycheck subsistence? What kind of secret collateral did they already have? Who was going to lend them that kind of money without collateral? Whereas Nicki's story in Ch3, the collateral was the 20K bailout, and the lenders were loan sharks. To assume Nicki is lying in Ch1, is to take on a massive truckload of other new assumptions that require new explanations. That's why merely from a simple probability standpoint, your take is far less probable; because it requires far more unexplained assumptions, it violates Occam's Razor.

Yeah could be. No need to dwell on it. (y)

I am not sure how rich MC though. In one scene there was around $23 million or something but I am not sure was it whole sum of his money or just part of it. Did he also make some money over it? He mentioned he got help from a financial advisor, so he may have earn more money.

Again, his exact wealth is incidental. He has enough for the purposes of the story. If NeonGhosts ever needs him to come into financial trouble, he'll need to have a good reason for it given the MC's earlier mentions about investments and having his money earn money. Which is just enough to sound plausible and not have the audience worry that the MC is using up a finite amount of savings with his midtown condo, jacuzzi on the balcony, philanthropist lifestyle.

That never happened though. Out of those three girls, Nicki is the only one who didn't have a sexual relationship with another guy. Vaughn never touched her and she had not been physical with Brent for a while before the game starts either. Gabby and Brittani both did fuck Jamie. I get why people have a problem with Nicki though, she decided to fly off to Florida with a creep she barely knew rather than come to our guy for help. Imagine if the attempted rape porno thing happened there, instead of within walking distance of our guy's place. Anything could have happened to her and she took that incredibly stupid risk instead of just swallowing her pride and coming to him for help. Of course that is going to hurt him an incredible amount. Especially after the moment they shared before she left.

Yeah I know that is not important to story, he has enough amount of wealth and also I know we won't know unless NeonGhosts says anything about it but I am curious. The way he lives probably need over 100 million, right? He can make sizeable donation to organization that use worldwide known photographer. We should speculate don't ya think?

Eh, I know enough to know that I don't know enough. Once you get to a certain point of wealthy, the world just operates differently. You don't keep a whole lot of liquid assets, instead your tie the money up in investments and other financial vehicles. You're not sitting there with 100 million burning a hole in your checking account, that you access with a debit card. You instead squirrel that money away where it can make you more money or be taxed as little as possible (ideally both), and you use your massive collateral to open nearly unlimited lines of credit that you use for your actual purchases. I don't need to know how all of this stuff actually works, it's sufficient enough to know that the MC is probably operating at or close to that level. The normal rules no longer apply, and that's fine given the inherent power-fantasy of the premise. In the same way that we don't need to know the ins and outs of the UK parliament or the office politics of MI6 to enjoy the lavish adventures of James Bond.
