If you were to ask me what my favorite character is, I would definitely say Nicki. That's why I have her in my signature. I think she is the most worked and deep character so far, and she has also surprised me on more than one occasion. I adore Nicki.

However, there are other characters that I like much more aesthetically. Brittani is probably the character that turns me on the most. Gabby also turns me on quite a bit, but I think she's more about what she represents than her aesthetic. And Viola would be third, although from the looks of her she would probably be second.

So it depends on the point of view. I don't know if the answer is useful to you or not, but I couldn't put a list since it depends on several factors.

Edit: By the way, I also really like Ashe. But her story seems very poor to me, and the sex scenes with her are very weak. I don't like the way that character is written. I'm sorry to say it like that, but it's frankly what I think. Of course, I like her aesthetic a lot.

Ashe gets a lot more development this time around, so I'll see if I can change your mind about her. Once she settles down, the valley girl voice diminishes quite a bit.

Straight up, I really thought about doing an anti-April Fool's Day joke, and releasing the prologue for the next chapter today. Buuuut, then I'll get a lot of people asking why I only released a tiny update, why their saves don't work with the next update, and blah blah blah.. I don't need that mess. Best to just give everyone a nice big chunk of story when it's ready.

But! I'm currently targeting April 14th for the initial release. The goal is 50 renders a day, until it's done. Doing all I can to cut corners without sacrificing quality. But, it's coming!

Hah! Believe me, I wouldn't do that. I've always found it really disrespectful of one's audience to be like, "Hey, I'm doing [X] -- jk dont you feel dumb for caring lololo?! "

Nope! It actually makes her quicker to warm up to you, next time she sees you. Though, she does think you’re Gabby’s dad, so that may cause some awkwardness in the short term.

Oh! I do have one actual request, and it’s a technical thing, not story or character related, I like those things. Even a mod would work, but… is there a way to get a text box? Or one with a slider? Some games have them, some mods put them in, but sometimes it’s really difficult to see the text or the menu because of the bright image behind it. Have that box, especially with the sliders to increase/decrease transparency and darkness levels, makes playing that much better.

Second. I joked about it being out yesterday cause you'd said you were shooting for April, but I love this game cause it's great, and I'd rather you take as much time as necessary to keep each update at that quality level. And you also need a life outside of making porn games for us.

There are actually three small Risa scenes in the next update! Nothing spicy yet, but soon.

The text box has been a persistent problem. First it was too dark, then too light, then I added an outline to the text and re-darkened the text box a bit, which seemed like a healthy compromise. :'D But yeah, maybe try the link silversurfer1 posted. I remember at one point someone posted a link to a text box mod they'd made in this thread, and it worked well.. Maybe this one? I'll be honest, I'm not a tech dude, so anytime people want to spare me the hard work and make cool little mods to improve functionality, I'm happy to leave that to them, and focus on art and writing.

If you cut out things you didn't really need like sleep, full meals, showers/baths and any human interaction you could probably halve that.

I will say this -- I don't let the popularity of any of the girls dictate how much screentime they get. If anyone goes back and reads this thread when I first showed Gabby's character design, reviews were not kind. But, I knew I could make people love her, once they got to know her. I also regularly get excoriated on a few pirate sites for pushing my 'LGBT agenda,' but I think next chapter will show I'm not shying away from things that might piss people off.

The truth is, girls like Nicki, Gabby, and Brittani are well-represented for the moment, because that's where the story's at. Nicki's drama began the story and then came back in force with Chapter 3, but now she's easing into a supporting role. Gabby's story with her dad is a persistent mystery, and MC's pending redesign of the bookstore gives him a lot of reasons to be there, interacting with Gabby and Madison. Gabby's story is directly connected with Brittani, which then feeds into her drama surrounding her and her family.

But, as was teased in the last update, there's something swirling around Ashe that MC needs to investigate, Carolina's constantly in his periphery, and Viola's home situation is due for some attention. Eventually, everyone will get their shine. Some people just need MC more right now. But, once their needs are met, he can move on to helping other people.

Honestly, if I just did what was popular, the menu screen would look like this. :'D

As for polls, I'd like to start polling for popularity once everyone's gotten their fair share of screentime. Right now it'd be really skewed, I think. In the short term, my plan is to do polls for which under-represented character people would like to see a scene with, and then use the winner to decide who gets a date/sex scene, provided it fits into the framework of the chapter.

When it comes to my favorite? Oof! Tough question! I love them all for different reasons. I try to give all of them distinct voices that make them all fun to write dialogue for, and they all serve different interests of mine. Tomboy, brat, bimbo, MILF, goth, Russian, muscles.. The broad descriptors of each girl are basically my PornHub search history. :'D But then I get to subvert those in interesting ways. Nicki's a tomboy who occasionally likes to show her girly side to her crush. Gabby's a brat who's really got a big, sensitive heart. Ashe is a bimbo with some surprising depth and empathy. On and on.

Right now, I'm finding the most fun in combining characters for scenes, letting them riff off each other. I'm in the plotting stage for Chapter 5, and I've been sketching out a dialogue scene between Risa and Maya that I think will be terrific.
