I can confirm. Regardless of the light/dark path you take, he'll still have some lewd thoughts but you can be extremely nice and caring to every LI you meet.the game doesn't make you. you're the one making those choices, actually.there is a good guy's path that is very enjoyable.

but if he got that job from Lucien, he should have much more money. but it seems he struggles a lot and has to do both the "acting" and the drug dealing, maybe even help in the human trafficking. would someone really do all that for minimum wage ?

As for the money... clearly, if the guy works for Lucien, he should be loaded. But it's dirty money, it's not like he can put it on the table and say he's just sold a bunch of his unfinished books. Maybe he doesn't care about his family and his wife's business anymore. Maybe he went in shady business to earn money and it's a recent thing. And maybe it's a coincidence (or a false flag), but the guy isn't the typical "randomly rendered husband that will be cucked". It seems there is some work on his visual identity, so I doubt he just appears to look like another character by chance.

I'm definitely not abusing anyone. I had a short thing with Gabby until she broke it off, I'm in a relationship with Nicki now and staying faithful to her. If she is open to something else, we can discuss it, but I'm not messing with anyone unless she is ok with it. I'm certainly tempted though, but I love Nicki too much to hurt her. That hardly counts as abusive.

I don't think there are any (f) characters in this game that aren't interesting and attractive. Nicki is still my #1 but I could see myself with any of them (although there's a bit of an age gap in a few places.) Still, I have no problem with just being with Nicki and being super nice to all the others with no strings. That's one of the great things about the game though. With all of the good characters and all of the choices, you could play through a dozen times and have a different game every time - at least I assume that will be the case by the time it's done.

If you are being forced to make the dark decisions it is probably because Guy's darkness score is off the charts. If you abuse Nicki, then abuse blondie, then abuse Gabby your score will probably be so high that you will be locked out of some of the nice guy options going forward. It kind of snowballs and you just become more of an asshole as the game goes on. The reverse also seems to be true to some extent as some of the bad guy options are locked if you don't have a high enough darkness score.

I actually had this insane theory that MC is a schizo and most of his life before the conveinience store were hallucinations and false memories, but Cassie actually being real and not someone he stalked thinking she was his sister, slammed that door shut.
But it seems like every other LI in the story, she's made some bad decisions and seems to be in a rough spot. Hope nothing heartbreaking happened to her yet.

That first decision with Nicki says a lot I think. If she really is an old friend, who you care(d) about and had a crush on the only way I can see abusing her is if you really are an asshole and intend to play it that way. 20k is a lot but in Guy's situation, it's pocket change. If (in your current circumstances) and old friend stopped by and said they were in really deep shit and desperately needed a fiver to get out of it, are you really going to abuse and humiliate them over it? Hand it over and tell them that you'd really like to hang out some time once they've fixed ... whatever it is.

One thing that could turn out to be true is Cassie's mother began to treat her worse after the protagonist left (can't say for sure about exactly but it seems to be about a decade, perhaps a bit more), which made her leave and led her to end up in that police cell (and to her surprise find out who was in the other one next to her). He does mention during his dinner with Ashe that he was left to take care of Guppy while their mother worked and in a Halloween picture the protagonist was looking at, Peyton (Cassie's friend) was drinking body shots from her and he sarcastically says their mother was a contender for Mother of the Year and he really didn't got along with her much to begin with, calling her a cold person. She even didn't like him talking to Cassie after he left, that he'd put ideas into her head or something like that. Perhaps in the next update it might be revealed why Cassie ended up there and give a little family background, and whether he'll be finally forgiven by her for going away so many years ago. It almost makes me wonder if the mother's personality will depend on the one we've set up for our MC. The mother being cold and not wanting MC to interact with Cassie could be indicative of some real fucked up possessive abusive mother shit, for example she gets jealous of Cassie 'stealing' MC's attention, things like that.
On the other hand, if MC is a dark personality.. that behavior suddenly makes perfect rational sense; the mother's frightened and disturbed by MC and is concerned for Cassie, but of course our dark MC is oblivious and views this as perhaps his first taste of the world punishing him rather than the problem being himself, like any typical narcissist.
Of course, whatever Neon decides will be interesting! Could just be that the way we shape our MC is one of multiple interesting outcomes that an abusive mother could produce in her son. One who is particularly sensitive to the cruelty in the world, having experienced it from his own mother, and therefore one who is motivated to oppose that; or one who was 'born in the darkness' and absorbed all the twistedness only so he could take his turn and export his own brand of it. Or, you know, one who didn't inherit the psychopathy gene vs one who did, however you prefer to look at it.
