Your arbitrary definition of what constitutes an update vs. a preview is just semantics that don't matter. It's just a distraction from the spirit/focus of my complaint which is that this is a shitty 'release', whatever you label it as! Your explanation for why this release sucks doesn't really justify the fact that it does.

Whereas you see a bunch of people that can't read if a complaint gets repeated, I see the possibility that there might be validity to the complaint if a bunch of people are repeating it.
ok i am bored i will bite. do you really think a short update made in addition to the rework to give something for the subs is the same as a full update that took months of work? maybe you dont know the meaning of semantics? are you complaining that someone wanted to give us this content earlier? or were you going into this teaser with the expectation to get a full update? if this is the case you might be delusional .
your comment is basically the equivalent to a complaint that a trailer is to short and that you are shocked that you didnt get the entire movie.

and for the last part: no there is no validity to the complaint. 1000 people repeating the same lie doesnt make the lie any more true, the same goes for 20 people that cant read and repeat the same complaint.
:geek:

tldr: preview==short, full update==long. semantics doesnt mean what you think it does :(

please no more 'teasers' , the full update or nothing
here, read this
https://f95zone.to/threads/friends-in-need-ch-11-v0-72-neonghosts.112500/post-16687911

Especially the following:

"Heh, 150 Images? No Thanks: Respectfully, I don't make content for this forum. I make it for my supporters. My supporters understand why I put out the (sometimes bite-sized) content that I do, because I communicate it to them, and if they want to reach out directly, I'll explain my plans and reasons in more detail. My concern is only ever in delivering them what I promise them, for their support. That means $15 supporters get some kind of playable demo monthly, $5 supporters get a weekly update with a look at the script and art, and $2 supporters get exclusive bi-weekly art and story features. I can't even guarantee that they'll like it, though I do my best."

its an early preview made for the higher paying subs not an update. this was already mentioned by like 20 people.

i will leave this here

because it seems like some people in this thread need it
sarkasm mode on

ahh, come on, reading is highly overrated!

and besides: Reading and - god forgive - understanding could prevent people from coming here to stomp, cry and complain 'bout this'n'that. So what would they do with their time instead? Getting a life?

/sarkasm mode off

And another “genius” to the ignored
Seriously sometimes I wonder if it is easy for them to live with such a heavy disability

Although brief, I loved Cassie's personality, really funny and charismatic, and maybe a little silly, I wonder how she will react to Guy's actions if they are good or bad, at this point in the story it is quite clear that things will not end well for the evil Guy, the pragmatic Guy may be saved a little although it remains to be seen, I personally go for the good Guy.

PS: It seems that Cassie is into girls or at least that's what her flirting with the lawyer suggests. I wonder if Guy could share his LI's with his sister. At least I would approve of the idea (man, what a good brother I am :ROFLMAO: ).
I've seen plenty of girls compliment each other's looks like they were a flirty guy coming on strong, but they weren't flirting, they were just having fun and boosting each other's confidence. So, in my mind, it remains to be seen. :sneaky:

I believe the best way to deal with these people that complain nonstop is to ignore them or politely ridicule them until they realize the are an entertaining joke.
For real. Honestly, I wouldn't even politely ridicule them, anything you say to them whether good or bad is their daily dopamine, and they'll eat up any attention they can get. They all at once want to mindlessly consume free content and then turn around and stomp the floor in a tantrum when they don't get their way; these people don't live in the real world and they have no self awareness. Hopefully they learn one day, but sometimes they never do. Either way, it doesn't have to be our problem.

BTW, I'm not talking about the people who politely and reasonably criticize the game like normal adults. It's normal to not like something or to even mistakenly jump to conclusions every so often. The people who take the time to think about something before they post are a breath of fresh air, whether it's praise or criticism.

I'm talking about the ones who just drive by, make wild assumptions that are flat wrong, and then get angry in the comments about their nonexistent head canon. Or the kinds of people who think every game dev should revolve their game around them. Or the ones who consistently and repeatedly make the same tired and dumb complaints over and over and over as if we don't already know their lame opinion on it, which of course clearly isn't going to affect the game's design anyways. We shouldn't engage with those kinds of people, it's just a waste of time.

see that's the thing you guys love to act like you're smarter than you really are. "we pay money for absolutely no progress, that makes us better than you plebes who get the same thing for free!!!!". Also Cassie is quite literally aggressively flirting with the lawyer and inviting her to a hotel room, she's into women. It couldn't be any more clear...proves that despite how much money you drop onto a project the ability to read still eludes you all.

Started a new game but the first Ashe scene auto rejects the 'sister roleplay'. I added the taboo patch (patch.rpy in game folder), but it still did not bring up the option to accept the roleplay. Am I missing something?
One thing to note is that the taboo patch only works on games started *after* the patch was applied. If you open a save that was made under a non-taboo version of the game, it will always restrict the taboo content even if the game has since been patched.

Okay so much like when I said I wouldn't drink Coca-Cola again, I let my temptation get the better of me and played the teaser and man it was good.

I'm loving Cassie so far, but anyway I also rewatched a scene from the last update that is the sort of stuff that makes FiN my number one AVN

That whole scene with Nicki is ten out of ten imo.

So yeah I loved the teaser and Cassie is a real firecracker as I suspected. I can't wait to see more of her.

I haven't played the teaser yet, I may wait for the whole thing, but what do people expect? 5 hours of amazing content with every girl they like, from a teaser? Really. The mind boggles.

Anyway, looking forward to getting reacquainted with my hot and bothersome sister in due course.

The hate comes from players who don't follow the game that closely. They saw the game in the latest updates and thought it was a full update. Those who follow the development of FiN already knew about that teaser and how things are going in general so no butthurt from us.
