Now, I understand why Neon doesn't include it by default on official channels, but why isn't the dark flag already changed to true for the version here? Wouldn't that save everybody some time?

Though I suppose that would create a situation where the official version requires more work to setup, which wouldn't really be fair.

Played the teaser for chapter 11.

Hehehe goading that piece of shit cop was priceless. Wonder if the captain will suspend him after the shit he did. :devilish:
Also Cassie is quite a handful. And her trying to flirt with Guy's lawyer was funny. By the way, was that detective Mercer eating moldy food?:ROFLMAO:

And the short-fused detective is Carolina's estranged husband (she took up his surname Marsden) and Maya's father. If the protagonist were to grow romantically closer to the cop's wife, he'll be sure pissed off. And Maya might have another father figure as the story continues its course (if Neon were to consider the idea, she might get a younger sibling or something like that).

It really seems like a common set up for a plot twist where the short-fused detective will later end up being the good guy and the other who seemed 'nice' will end up beind affiliated with the villain. The story so far seems to be trying a bit too hard to establish one as very unpleasant and the other as 'nice' which hints at an intentional set up for a plot twist. That's my take on this.

That's what happens when you fall for the game of "Good cop, Bad cop" during an interrogation. In any case, I definitely don't trust mister nice cop further than I can throw him. He is totally the one who turned away Risa when she tried to report this shit.

Interesting take. I saw it more as asshole detective (forgot his name) and Mercer being a mostly nice but dumb and lazy cop (with his moldy food).
But yeah from what Risa told Guy it seems someone warned Lucien after she went to the cops.

There is some merit in thinking Mercer may be that guy.

Maybe not very related, but i found hilarious that the detective interview to the fake rape video's girl took place in the casting couch room.

honestly, did anyone not trigger Marsden? He's just begging for it :ROFLMAO:
If pushing Avery's buttons (that's his name) at the police station was one thing, then pursuing Carolina and winning her over (and Maya getting a new father) is an upgrade, of him having his anger levels going up to the roof. And a "hostile" takeover of his roles as husband and father in the process.

Don't plan on playing any of chp 11 until it's all released, and obviously I don't know where Neon is going with his characters or story, but it's interesting to think about the politics and day-to-day challenges of jobs like this. Not defending corruption, dereliction of duty, or outright abuse or anything like that, but my understanding is that sometimes, an officer can find themselves stuck between a rock and a hard place with no easy way forward. And sometimes things aren't as they seem, either.

Expanding on what DiTo said, I would argue that the guy who's really angry and emotional could be the kind of guy who's passionate about his job and, in my eyes, less likely to be the corrupt informant. Likewise, the guy who's calm and seems reasonable could in fact be the stonecold asshole who doesn't give a shit about his job or principles; that's kind of how I'd expect a corrupt cop to act. Of course, even then, he could have reasons for doing what he does... maybe he's trying to get cozy with Lucien to see if he can find bigger fish? Or not... probably not, but just something to consider.
