Ahh, I see. Yeah, tbh, the romantic humiliation route honestly felt more... well, romantic, than the love route. It's the only route (afaik) where you actually masturbate her and she cums, which is a very selfless thing to do and would make as much, if not more, sense in the love route. Again, maybe I'm wrong and wasn't as thorough as I thought, but I recall it only happening on happy humiliation. And then on top of that, you get certain reactions from her that are different and I don't know, it just seems like she's a little more into it. Then at the end, there's one or two hpoint checks and when you have the hpoints, she seems a tad less awkward and more forthcoming with how she feels about the whole thing; you and her seem closer. At the end of the love route, she feels a little more distant and avoidant like she just wants to leave because she regrets what happened. I mean, she also does that at the end of the hhum route, but it doesn't feel as sharp a blow, from memory. It's not really anything super huge, it's just a bunch of little things all combined to give the impression if that makes sense. I don't know, maybe other players here feel differently? Maybe I've misread it or something.

I'm currently running a poll over on the Patreon to help me lock down a look for Nicki in the rebooted of Chapter One. Nicki Classic is still doing pretty well, with option C tied, and option A close behind.

The original's pretty good. Of the three here, the wide of C is my favorite look, but the closeup of A is pretty damn cute. The last one is jarring mostly 'cause she's all dolled up but still wearing the orange hightops and not heels.

I think that if the goal is to make her "transformation" when she appears at the end of Chapter 2 more shocking then option A would be a good choice because it seems to be a greater contrast with her change in appearance after her disappearance.
I think it depends on what you're going for. If this is a binding poll result then it obviously doesn't matter, whoever wins wins. But if you're going for what matches the narrative and are just checking to see what others think before making your own decision, then I'd say it depends on Nicki's intentions. Obviously she denies that she came with the intent of seducing MC, but if she was intending to at least be alluring, you'll want to go with something sexy and maybe even a little slutty.
A looks like she's going to a picnic. It's cute don't get me wrong, but it's neither "I'm going to go chill and watch anime with my best friend," or "I need to beg MC for money, if he's staring at my tits and my thighs the entire time he's more likely to say yes." The only option I would say doesn't fit the situation at all.
C almost looks like a nightgown. It's definitely the option that doubles down on at least visually seducing MC into giving her money. C is not something you wear to go hang out with a guy friend. It's the equivalent of a guy inviting a girl friend over and he's wearing nothing but compression shorts. Given Nicki's personality, I'd also say this one doesn't quite fit either.
E strikes a good balance in my opinion. It's something she would actually wear. It shows some skin but isn't going to fall off in a slight breeze. Definitely a good mix of trying to be alluring (and maybe a little actual desire for MC to notice her) while also not implying she's there to hoe out for 10 grand.
Just my 10 cents. I still prefer the little toy figurine personally. She's still best girl.
Yeah, I agree w/ above; E is the best balance, most fitting, and I personally think is most mature. A & C look almost too youthful to me, not that Nikki isn't young of course. It's just, they look almost teen-y or something. Although, the idea that A creates the most 'shocking contrast' regarding her change in appearance is true as well, as it looks very innocent.
My vote is E. Maybe bias as it was her orginal outfit but just feels more tomboy which is how she was introduced.

C has quite a brat look on that outfit. Which i guess makes some sense if Nicki was sent there by her abusive boyfriend to try to seduce Guy into giving her money.

I'm not keen on reworking old content while the game is still in production but if you are going to overhaul Nicki's look, E would be my preference. It's closest to her original appearance. More importantly, as tuskedkibbles says it's the best fit for what's happening in the story.

I'll not be original in my opinion:
A - not alluring enough and not mature enough, worst option
C - too alluring, too big contrast, I like outfit but it's too much
E - balanced variant, best option, most believable according to context and personality

Thanks for the feedback, everyone! Currently the three options I posted remain neck and neck.
I always abide by the final results of the poll, but sometimes I'll find little tweaks here and there. Like, if Option C ultimately wins, I could always pair it with a spunky jacket to make it look a little less thot-y. Or I may opt to move away from the fishnets, and go with a pair of stockings. Hearing from you folks can help me make some of those decisions, so I always appreciate the feedback.
The intention with Nicki and the dress was always that it should look like something she just wouldn't ordinarily wear. In the original I'd wanted it to look like something she was probably given or bought for a special occasion, before sticking it in her closet and forgetting it. But with the reboot/redo of Chapter One, there's the opportunity to kind of redefine it as something else, given how Nicki's personality has since developed. Could be something she bought for a family function back home, before she became estranged from her family. Could be something kind of sexy that she bought on an impulse, but never worked up the nerve to wear. Lots of possibilities!
After seeing the classic look get so much love, I do think I'll keep her classic hair in the new Chapter One. It's a little bit of a pain to work with compared to the other option, but it's clear that iteration still resonates as the 'real' Nicki for a lot of people.
I spent a lot of yesterday dealing with annoyances stemming from my recent fender bender, as well as trying to get all my tax paperwork in order, after going back and forth with an accountant. So, I couldn't get much done on the game until last evening, when I knocked out the remaining renders for Mason's scene. Buuuut, I did try a few experiments with lights and costuming, to post over on the Discord.

Yeahhhhh, I know it's always a bad sign when someone starts redoing stuff. But, I've always gone back and touched up renders/dialogue/continuity errors here and there. That said, it'll be a pretty dramatic overhaul, which I think will ultimately be good for the story. I want Nicki to have a real personality right at the start, and I want her friendship with MC to have real context. That way, whatever path you take in Chapter One will feel a little more impactful. Plus, there's an opportunity to slip in some fun stuff like showing him moving into the condo, meeting Carolina for the first time, etc. And it's an opportunity for me to clean up the game's code. Win/win/win.
