Nicki is the best as a sister/friend character though and I wouldn't turn my back on her.
It's not getting removed, the stuff at the start of the game is getting reworked and it will be made optional from the start, but she will still be an LI, and everything past the beginning of the game will remain the same. Just don't go on her path, the dev isn't going to remove a LI's content completely for YOUR sake.
My top 3 are Ashe, Nicki, and Gabby (Probably in that order, though it tends to change around sometimes), as far as the other LI's I don't really hate any of them, but as long as I have those 3 I don't really need anyone else.
