To pull ideas directly from my ass, if I had to measure this sort of thing I would have to make assumptions:
If I recall wpm reading speed is about average of 200, and slow at about 100. Assume 2 seconds appreciation for any given image, and maybe 5-10 for something 'special' (not just pornographic, but ones with particular details like that bracelet or the dress up scenes.) and maybe another 5-10 seconds for each decision option.
So i'd figure wordcount/100 + (image count*2)/60 + ((decisions+"special images")*5)/60 = assumed playtime in minutes.

But again, that's completely from my ass and i woke up and went straight for the rum today.

Nice. I was thinking of it in those terms, also, just less intelligently (my math skills suck ). I bet you could get a really fair estimation that way, though.

I guess ultimately the most important thing is do players feel the releases are too short. I mean, considering the high quality, I personally am always begging for more. But, accounting for that, I think the playtime is perfect; does everything it wants and needs to do and more. I have a feeling most of us feel the same.

You joke (i hope) but it does seem to be the attitude of people these days. I mean to some degree since forever (hence the King story) but, like, the internet made it seem to be the norm rather than the terrifying exception.

But circling back to playtime and update length, I'm not sure how to best explain that more is never enough. And that's a bittersweet but good thing.

Not gonna lie I recall when I was experimenting with some Nicki choices once ( before I knew dark path with patch was a thing) I was kind of an asshole to her and saw you get a different variation of some lewds scenes. Speaking of which, here's something I did for fun today -- one of Santa's elves got lost, and needs a place to crash for the night.

FYI: Over 600 renders complete now. Going to keep pushing through and get done whatever I can before Christmas, but I'm confident I'll cross that 700 threshold I was aiming for.
