slightly confused. Last I played was just plain 0.39 (yes I know it was a long time ago).
So the 'remake' is remaking the whole thing from scratch...I don't see the point as it was great as it was.
Question....if/when a chapter 2 comes out is there a continuation from ONLY the remake version or will it continue from the original chapter one....or will it just be a fresh start?

You should be confused because you didn't read back far enough or do a search.
Had you done either you might of learned that there is no plan to do a full remake.
As stated by the Dev themself there was only a plan to rework Chapter 1 which they did.
They will be tweeks to the rest to aline with Chapter one but no full reworks.

It was only ever gonna be Chapter 1 that was planed as a rework and only Chapter 1 has been reworked.
Not sure why people keep thinking because Chapter 1 was reworked.
That it must mean a full rework of the game is happening when all it means is Chapter 1 was reworked.

The Dev I believe also plans to fit in said tweeks while making the next episode.
And I'm not 100% sure but I think they said they intend to intergrate the Chapter 1 which is currently stand alone.
Into the full game by the time they release the next episode.

Atleast thats what I believe is happening from what I have gleened from this site sofar.
I'm sure if i'm wrong the Dev will say so till then I Hope that clears some of it up for you.

You just walked into class a little late and got scolded by the professor lol. Seriously, though, you would need to read pretty far back to find what's up because Neon has been talking about redoing the first chapter for something like two years and for those two years people have been stumbling in and asking "why are you remaking the game" and we all have been shouting "HE ISN'T REMAKING THE GAME JUST THE FUCKING CHAPTER!" So everybody is on their last throbbing nerve about it now that we finally have the long-promised reworked first chapter, especially since it broke the momentum of the updates (which to Neon's credit had been released at a quite good pace). Sorry that you stepped on that particular rake and got bashed in the nose. We do need to respond with a mite more grace and decorum.

According to the remake Guy's fotune is not that big. Iirc it says 8 numbers so it should be among 10 millions and 99 millions.

Yeh because Niki being someone that was MC's bestfriend for years lent him money when you needed it.
Who would of dated MC when he was still poor if he had asked her first.
And was only dating Dick head brent because the MC hadn't the balls to ask her himself.
Yet was giving her own money to Brent who was not only a dick head but permanently broke.

Don't worry, it was just a joke based on how some people interpreted Nicki's behavior in the original version of the game, before the remake.

But a wee bit more seriously, given Nicki does have concerns how her becoming Guy's girlfriend or even assistant could be viewed by some people, it'd be hilarious if some kind of reference or spin on that meme made it into the game in some form. Like maybe with Guy getting interviewed together with Nicki about their charity (and the interview swerving into their private lives) by some local TV channel

Yeah, I was joking too.

If anything the remake leaves no room for interpretation about Nicki. While I never thought she was a gold digger in the first place, I think the remake has made her character more one dimensional. In the og some people thought she was motivated by selfinterest, even if that was never Neon intent. So I get why Neon changed things to avoid the hate she was getting but at the same time that makes a less interesting character imo.

I've gotta say by far my favorite route is the grey area route in almost any other adult game. the writing on its so good and dynamics between each character from sugar daddy , to a mutual exchange sex for power . Like ashe writing in that route in the whole hot tub scene was so fucking peak. Like it's one of those scenes that stay with you

I've played the reworked Chapter 1 (though I didn't venture into the darker choices), so I might as well give my opinion on it. The remake does have improvements, but on the whole I think the original worked better - at least based on how the subsequent chapters unfolded the first time around.

Anyway, that's my $.02. I haven't particularly liked the the direction of the game since Lucien showed up, so perhaps it's not surprising that I'd dislike a remake intended to bring the first chapter more in line with the later ones. I just wanted to give at least a little feedback for old time's sake.

tl;dr A visual improvement that takes some of the thorns off of Nicki, but IMHO the original version did more with less.

Not yet. Neon just let us get a taste. The full version (potentially with some dark options) won't come until he's done tweaking a few other chapters to accommodate some path and dialogue changes related to the new Chapter 1.

Kudos for writing Nicki, she really comes off detestable and that made it hard to stay on both an inclusive and good path. Probably puts a deeper level of investment into the game for many and its not a particularly easy feat to create characters people might react towards. The story and characters have been genuinely pretty interesting so far, hope you carry forward with the game. I'd say it stands out from the other games with a darker tone in that the positive path seems like one you put equal time into.

I imagined I had been more charitable towards Nicki originally. Obviously, her character has changed a lot since then, really grown into the character she was suggested to be in the original chapter one. The remake was extremely well done, by the end I felt pathos towards Nicki with the knowledge of what would come once Guy allowed her to leave. Guy is given a lot more room to develop across the first chapter, it helps display the development from the timid character in the beginning to the more courageous one in later chapters.

There's some changes and also fixes the dev has planned for subsequent chapters, to remove some glitches from them and other such stuff, so yes, it'll most likely be necessary to replay the game.
