True. I guess I'm asking for too much lol. Still, it's kind of like opportunity cost with time. I could either be playing something mediocre or just do something else with my free time. Although of those three I'm willing to put up with terrible dialogue to the point where I'll just do exactly what you said, hold ctrl until I get to the good parts. Sex scenes are cool and without them it'd be like a sandwich without bread but there's something about reading a great story in these games that refreshes me. It's like the difference between a cold-cut bologna sandwich and a chicken parm sub.

It's understandable. Most people who can actually write would want to branch out into other mediums thus you get a lot of devs who just simply don't have the chops. Although, I'm not asking for Dostoevsky here. Just something passable like SG or BADIK(point of contention, I know). Which is why I get really hooked on a VN when I actually find someone who can write.
It's just that I wish the review system was a little more credible. People give 5 stars out too easily or alternatively, review bomb games for small things.

I also definitely think this game has the potential to be in that top 1% of VNs. There's honestly not much else that it needs to get there since it's already in the upper tiers and Neon's learning at a fast pace. Still, I wouldn't be able to decide between the quick updates we have now or 2 updates per year with sound, music, all those fireworks and bells and whistles that seem superfluous when devs start approaching 1 update per year.

yeah, my main avenue of 'satisfaction' is still just normal, regular porn. i treat these games as something a little more rare and special (because they are tbh; as ive already said, theres so many bad VNs :(), so i guess by the time im really jonesing for something with more depth than 'dick goes in butthole pov #14145', i get a nice little update from one of my games :D

also, a nice little compromise to VNs imo are camgirls (from manyvids etc.) that play out little kinky stories. they tend to have way more depth than porn ofc and they have pretty good acting actually if u find the right ones (Sydney Harwin is pretty infamous). the stories still aren't as good as the best youll find in an excellent VN and no satisfaction of choices obviously haha, but it's still decent.

that's how i tide myself over, anyways.. not that anyone asked :LOL: agree that this game is top 1%er

The dev knows that Brit has her fans, so at some other time I guess he'll bring her back. I also really like the other girls, so it doesn't bother me too much to wait. As long as the Dev continues to give the option of having the MC as both a good person and a piece of shit, I'm happy with that.
