I appreciate the discussion, though. I tend not to weigh in on certain topics, but it's always nice to see people's perspectives.

Also! Here's an incomplete/unfinished version of the Chesty Cheetahs exterior. I figured out how to make neon signs using a simple PNG file and Daz's billboard builder. Considerably better than buying the $20 neon sign kit on the Daz marketplace.. >_>

One of my patrons has actually been working on something for this, building on the work of an f95 member. But, the difficulty is that each scene has so many variations just based on variables/values that a traditional, main menu-launched gallery with playable scenes, is kind of difficult. So, the options at this point seem to be a gallery that launches to only one particular variation of a scene, or an option to choose, broadly, the nature of the scene, which would then still be sans certain customizations.

The other option is to have a gallery within a save file, where you can jump back to scenes you've played. But, at that point it seems like.. Why not just have save files for those scenes?

So, it remains a sticky wicket for the moment. I'd like to launch the Chapter One remake with some kind of gallery function in place. But, exactly what that might look like is still up in the air.

The gallery for Our Red String seems to get around this by making you select from several options to determine which variation of the scene is played.

IDK, maybe if being bad was about money and influence that would make sense. But dark Guy is using his money to unleash his inner demon, a narcissist and or psycho doesnt fit as they dont see their actions as wrong. Those are conflicting types of dark behavior. We are looking for someone who finds an act of violence of Guy's as sexually arousing, or taking part in as an act of liberation. The crazy has to match, not necessarily as be the same but fit like a puzzle piece.

I guess I'm a little confused here. Who would be sexually aroused by assaulting other women except a narcissist/psychopath? That's how dark Guy's being written, isn't he? Maybe someone can clue me in if I'm not getting something?

And ofc I'm talking about in RL now... I play the dark path and can get aroused, but we all know they aren't real people with real feelings, just characters in fiction; and yet even then I can still feel bad and have my limits. But watching a real, living person suffer in RL and getting pleasure from that? It's completely and utterly different, which is what an accomplice character would be doing.

That's why I said an alternative would be a LI who reluctantly goes along with it, either because Guy scares them into silence or mayyyybe because he pays them into it, but I feel like that would work more for like 1 event rather than something that's reoccurring. So if not those, then I feel like it's gotta be a psycho who doesn't care about the suffering of others, just like Guy, and if you want them to be aroused by it on top of that, that's yet another layer. I'm convinced Tessa could maybe be both of those, we'll have to see, whereas Isabella doesn't seem like she'd be aroused by it, just wouldn't care.

But I don't know, maybe Isabella could get aroused by degrading and negative comparison or something? Where basically she's the center of the act? Age is the enemy of beauty after all, and that's her only quality, so.. she probably loves, loves, loves the idea of a rich, fairly handsome Guy telling other girls they're beneath Isabella, they're not as pretty, and punishing them for ever even entertaining the thought. I could see that.

That question was actually my point from the beginning. I really don't see any existing character fitting the bill, was why I started spewin about it. But like i originally submitted, MC's darkness can be genetic or related to childhood trauma, so his sister could have those same tendancies(not saying she does, saying it would work). For exisiting characters, Mason has suffered trauma and abuse, is deeply insecure and in some brances already appears to have a deepseated need to please the MC. Thats a possible foundation for an apprentice. I doubt the dev will write in a Dark Guy side kick regardless, but I still think her needs one.

Oh ok, gotcha now. You threw me when you mentioned Mason, and though I get where you're coming from with him now, I'm not sure I'm totally there, though I can kinda see it with his vulnerability and insecurity like you said. But yeah, Cassie could be like dark Guy in that sense as well.. I've also wondered if Cassie has ever been on the receiving end of Guy's uh.. 'antics' growing up, depending on how the player shapes him during play. Very interesting to think about regardless of how Neon chooses to do it.

Both versions of Guy have the same personality disorder. He is what is called a dark empath. He is capable of reflexive cognitive and affective empathy and relating to someone's emotional state (unlike a sociopath who is just faking it). He is not only able to act normal but to also be normative. However, he isn't capable of somatic empathy. That "punch to the gut" feeling is something he only feels for himself. It is almost as if he is the opposite of a psychopath and his cerebellum functions perfectly but there is something wrong with his limbic system. In some ways, this is a preferable personality type to someone with an antisocial personality disorder, but it is also considered to be the most dangerous personality type. Someone who is empathetic but can turn it off as easily as a light switch can be an extraordinarily perilous individual to deal with.

Here is how AI describes a dark empath. Tell me if any of it sounds familiar.

Dark empaths are people who may exhibit a range of behaviors that can be manipulative, vindictive, and emotionally intelligent:

• Manipulation - Dark empaths may use their ability to understand others' emotions to control situations or gain personal advantage. They may guilt trip, gaslight, or use sarcasm to get their way.

So the qualities that make Guy the worst also make him quite effective when it comes to running a charity. He isn't emotionally invested in personal outcomes but rather focuses on the efficacy of the action and therefore treats his donations like investments rather than charity. His ability to assess and understand what other people need can be used or misused and only the player gets to decide which version we get.

I don't know Guy seems pretty normal to me then again, I focus on the babes not him even though I do "insert" when playing games.

Besides if I'm being honest, I have some of those traits and I'm normal.

All that said I often wonder how different the story would be if I was the actual MC. What choices would I make and such.
