You’re right, I just put out a chapter in November, took an unpaid break in December, wrote 60% of Chapter 1’s remake in January, released a 138 image teaser for Chapter 11 in January, update my blogs twice a week, and will be putting out a Chapter 1 teaser later this month with a minimum of 300 images.

He's reworking one chapter because there were issues with it, and because of discussions with fans. He's also adding more backstory for things he wants to do going forward. It's supposed to be done, along with a teaser for the next chapter sometime in March (I think?). He's on here almost every day talking about it and keeping everyone updated and after that then he's onto Chapter 11. He also took December off - and told everyone he was doing it. People just need to chill, especially if they haven't been paying attention to the announcments.

Plus, when he does put it on steam, first impressions are important so it makes sense to touch up stuff that looks dated now like the first chapter.

for fucken sake it's only 1 chapter and some code changes it's not even a full rework. It's not like he is pulling an Ocean and besides in this case it actually makes sense since he is adding onto it not just upgrading the visuals. Be a different story if he was re doing most of the game or something.

Dev isn't going to sabotage your game or anything. If the 1st scene doesn't feel right, you can opt out of it and hop onto his romance route later. I believe the plan is that there will be more than 1 way to get onto a LI's romance route, i.e. getting on early albeit a bit rushed or creepy, staying on their friend route for a bit and develop in a more traditional way, and lastly you can slide in via the corruption route under the right circumstances (being nice, I'd guess). Not sure if all the LIs will get this exact treatment, but at least a few will work this way.

Probably will take a while to build up. You're a rich guy take in a poor person and giving them a place to live, the financial difference alone is going to take a while to resolve. I doubt that it will end poorly though

Well we've all seen this pattern before. When a developer starts remaking their game a couple chapters in that means this game is dead as fuck. They'll put out chapter 1 remake and suddenly see sales haven't suddenly quadrupled and then this thing will be abandoned.

the pattern:
1 noob makes succesful game and becomes exnoob
2 exnoob realise early game is mid and redoes the early game
3 ???
4 profit/whining
