General FYI: I uploaded a teaser for Chapter 1, tier-locked for $15 patrons. No ero content in this one, as it ends just as Nicki arrives to meet with our hero. Hoping to have the love path content complete by next weekend, though. Reactions have been good thus far. People have said, "this redux has really added a lot more life to the characters," and, "I didn't dislike the original Chapter 1, but I feel like this was a huge improvement."

My plan, as it stands right now, is have an edited version of Friends in Need on Steam, and then a patch on my website that can be downloaded and applied to restore all the content. From what I've seen, this is totally fine as long as I don't explicitly mention said patch on the Steam page. But, reviewers can do so, to direct people to where they need to be.

So that image's from when the protagonist got his place in Rhodenbarr Tower, sometime after he got his fortune (one that Carl Rhodenbarr aka Risa's father would later mention it was just luck, and not in a good tone).

Correct! This version plays out a little differently than it did originally, in that Guy has not fully moved into his new place, when he shows it to Nicki.

well, then my brother, I think when the love path is completed, I think it's time for me to stop saving it up

and finally start playing it again, and I'm excited

as someone who really loves this game, saving it up, it's really hard

In my signature I have the most barebones of a site, with some images from the game, and links to where you can find it. I need to put together an actual website (or more realistically, hire someone to do so) because right now my actual platforms tend to get drowned out in search results, by pirate spam. :'D
