Doing a remaster before the game is over is the equivalent of someone stopping right before the punchline to a joke to re-tell you the set up with more detail. On average, this is where I tend to stop following games, and I NEVER financially support devs I have known to do this.

A quick question, I applied the taboo patch (which people say enables evil options) but from what I understand it also lets you change ages and such and that hasn't been the case. Is the patch not functioning or did that feature get removed?

Yeah, the ages are fixed. I'd guess it's a combination of PP drawing a hard line for content with virtual folks who aren't at least 18 years old, and it also makes the backstories potentially more consistent, since you no longer have stuff like high schoolers talking about their college experiences etc.

It did, it no longer does. Avoids plot inconsistencies and cuts down on the general creepiness somewhat.

Yeah, there is now a patch that you can download on the front page (or create yourself : create a .txt or whatever file and change it to .rpy so it's called "patch.rpy") and put it in your "game" subfolder. The patch itself is empty because the game just checks if the file is present.
Then you will have the darker options available, although you still have to have enough "dark points" (that you get by using said dark choices) of course.
