Could it be that you're actually fucking retarded? Novels and films don't get reworked AFTER they're published for the audience to see en masse. Rough drafts are things that exist BEFORE publication, not after.

What Western VN's are doing is the equivalent of Tolkien, George R. R. Martin or J. K. Rowling remaking the earlier chapters of their book series after they've been published while the last chapters STILL haven't been completed.

What another comment before said is true, the western VN world is toxic as fuck. There's no longer any fucking excuse that they're solo devs, indie devs, free games, middle of development, etc. Not with the plethora of resources that are widely available in fucking 2025. Japanese VN's also started much in the say way, but they never were even a tenth as amateurish and unprofessional in the way the conduct business as western devs.

Just look at the OG Tsukihime, which was when TYPE-MOON was still a doujin group back in 2000. And with the money they made from it and its spin-offs they were able to make the legendary Fate/stay night in 2004.

Huh. Good thing Star Wars never re-released previous versions with changes made to them...and thank God there are no director's cuts of any movies. Or movies with extra scenes that get released (based on Tolkien's books, for example).

Bonus points for that post bringing up Tsukihime of all things as example of artistic integrity of Japanese devs given, you know, the fact it actually got a full remake. Plus the "legendary Fate/stay night" getting something like 3 different versions (the OG, Réalta Nua and a remaster of the latter)

Honestly I just think we should all be really impressed that I completely remade a few thousand images worth of content in only a month. I mean, it took me four months to redo Chapter 1, which was much smaller in scope.

Yeah, you people are actually stupid. No one here is complaining of works getting remasters or remakes after they're completed, we're complaining of works being remade while they're still in production after they already were made available to the audience.

And it was not an example of artistic integrity, it was an example of good business conduct you moron. Also, the "remaster" of Fate/stay night is quite literally just an official English translation. The only remaster FSN has ever gotten is the PS2 Realta Nua version, all others have just been simple ports.

I have a supporter who makes those builds for me, so I'm just waiting for him to have the time to do so. To be honest, the only real difference between .72 and .73, is that you get to view eight extra Brittani photos, at the start of Chapter 7. It shouldn't have any real bearing on your save files.
