Season 1 IS complete. The only things which will be added before we get a couple more chapters is some minor QOL stuff, but the story is complete, and the code for the game is complete.

But yeah, I've spoken about my desire to get off the stage while the audience still likes the music, as it were. The story's heading toward a pretty definitive ending, and I have no real desire to drag it out any more than is necessary.

Of all the games that "drag it out," FIN is pretty much the one that I would not mind if it did.

Quick question...

The last version I played was 7.2 before the revamp.

So I know that a few things were changed story wise in chapter 1 regarding Nikki.
1) Do I need to replay the game or can I still continue from my old save?
2) Apart from fleshing out existing scenes more, is there any new story since 7.2 (Before revamp). Or should I wait until the start of Chapter 2 for new story?

I'm pretty patient, so I can wait till the end of the year before I play it, but I only want to play this version, if there were some story content added since the revamp.

The code for the game was completely rewritten so it was possible to maintain and expand. Old saves are not going to work.
The entirety of chapter 1 was rewritten, and the beginning of Chapter two as well. There is also a fair number of other small changes, but you will want to have at least one save from the new version to go into Season 2.

This is essentially the full release. There are some text stories and other small QOL things yet to be integrated.

A patch that is zero in size. All it takes is one report about questionable content and Steam moderators will check your game. Friends Indeed (Patreon version) has a better chance. Just let the players figure out how to get the extra content. While there are games released at Steam with rape, they pale in comparison to what you can do in Friends in Need. Some of the stuff you can do with the characters (eg. Ashe) is something you typically see in F95-banned games.

Oh, no, Joshy, you really, REALLY want to play Season 2 ASAP. It has scenes which are, quite frankly, entirely written to target your particular kinks.

So I downloaded the patch and the file size is 0 bytes. Is it supposed to be like that?

The file just needs to be present. It is intended to be empty, though any file with the right name will work.

But there’s no Vanilla Version here. There’s a SubscribeStar Version and a Patreon Version, and also the Taboo Patch and Taboo Content Patch. Which of these do I need to download to get all the content?

Friends in Need (the SubscribeStar version) and the patch file (which is, yes, empty - you just need a file with the right name).

Will the 95b version be available for Mac as well?

No, the season 1 story is finished. Any updates, at least in the intermediate future (the Discord has been making suggestions! But they'll have to wait) will be stuff in the menu. Text stories being available from the launch menu, and the like.

Sadly, no. That was a branch which did not make it to the game, at this point. Plans were made, but it was too much extra work for now.

This was been a great couple of months for AVNs and games "ending" (whether or not they like the endings or not!)

Depth Revival, Time Stamp, and Where the Heart Is just to name a few! Even if we don't like the endings, at least they accomplish something that probably 99% of the AVNs didn't do; end the game and not just abandon it!

Well, that is the plan. But we like Neon, and we like his work, so we are understanding of his optimistic release predictions! My spot in the pool is January 5th for Season 2's release for $15 supporters.
