I think it's partially just who you are and where you are in life. I've dated someone significantly younger than me - not an 19 year old but someone in her mid 20s when I was about 40 and we just didn't have that much in common except the obvious. I mean we got along well enough but we had different interests and were in different places in our lives. And it was always awkward hanging out with her friends because we had nothing in common - and most of them were still at the 'lets drink till we can't see because that's fun' stage. So I'd be way more drawn to someone like Carolina, or Jun, or the lawyer or the real estate agent than Brittani or Gabi.

Back then we didn't have the option to just give her the money without sex , so to some she came across as a goldigger ( not me). So some were unable to forgive when she came back after ghosting him . I didn't find it unforgiveable after listening to her explanation and how she did her best to get by on her own as she didn't want to take advantage of the MC again even tho she easily could of.
