Just think you should consider why Nicki's character in a 3d vn, which you aren't playing for sexual pleasure, would make you feel that way. Her character is written with issues and there's a lot of drama surrounding her, but that always makes for an interesting story. id agree in the old build of the game a bit more about the friendship thing but in the rework introduction chapter I have to completely disagree there it showed they were more than work buddies but actually friends. I mean I do disagree with some of your other points too but that comes down to us being different and liking / disliking and seeing things differently.

kind of the same for me but swap story with characters it's why a character like Nicki , Risa or Ashe is enough for me to play a game. Typically I play AVN for these things in this order Enjoyment < Characters < Story < the rest. Enjoyment is very subjective but I find I can enjoy lesser quality games more than some top tier games. Kinda of why I put it at the top of my list.

Tho I don't play with immersion I don't know how . The most I can do is attempt to make a roleplay save is where I mix things I would do if it was me with choices that just sound fun to do without caring if I go on or off a route. Tho I admit due to my personality of being an introvert and a very understanding person depending on the context I usually rarely agree with people that a MC is a simp or submissive. Kinda of why I hard disagree with you about MC being a Nicki simp I just can't see it with the friendship and relationship they have with one another. Now if they weren't good friends and have a good friendship chemistry with one another id agree.

See I see it differently when you play her Love path ( in the old build) not sure about the new version now as im waiting till there is new content. win the old version it seemed like she didn't thinks she worth a damn , she didn't want a relationship because she didn't think she was worth it and felt guilty so she didn't want to take advantage of the MC again. So it felt like self inflicted trauma that cause her to stay away which I respect even if wasn't smart. Which to me did make it seem like she was a good and loyal friend willing to fuck her life up instead of asking for help again because how didn't want to keep taking advantage of the MC. Which is also why i didn't see her living with the MC until she moved out as a big deal as she wasn't the one the asked for any of the help she got when she came back.

Now with the rework since she is no longer taking advantage of the MC sure how that is gonna work. With how you can just give her the money now cause because it did feel like she had a reason for her guilt now im not so sure anymore. i'll have to see when I do play it.

Brent's mini-episode makes the trouble clearer when the loanshark, rather bluntly, threatens to find him and kick his teeth in.

Given Nicki's protective nature, as seen when she spazzes about Risa bringing Guy to Lucien's, it makes sense she'd keep her distance until her problems were solved. But as time stretched on, reaching out became increasingly difficult. Each passing day made things more awkward between them. Her physical transformation only added another reason to keep her distance. Staying away preserved her happy memories with Guy, protecting them from being tainted by her present.

There's probably a universe where Nicki never had that disastrous 'audition' and still never reconnected with Guy, simply because the shame of admitting everything to him was too much for her.

Not sure how much of it is new build, i just replayed it and there was alot of story that i remember from the old build so im guessing theres not much yet that has been rebuild.

As it is now i find it even more weird that she would sell herself out to that perverted dude since it feels like they are alot closer in the start of the new build, so if she still ghost MC and move in with the weirdo after that, i would still not let her move back in since i would see it as her breaking up or not wanting to be with MC and MC has also moved on to new relationships and shouldent have her living with him, it wouldent make sense to me considering hes bringing home girls to have sex with, giving Nicky an apartment or something is fine and would bring closure to her atleast when it comes to a relationship.

But i guess the best thing is to wait untill the hole rebuild or remake has been finished to see how it will be.

The rework is almost complete (it is missing one chapter, I think?) but you can start a new game now. You won't have to restart when the end of Season 1 gets integrated. I don't think so, at least... I asked the same question a few pages back and I'm pretty sure I got that answer.

Yeah I really do not like her, I understand the depth of her character and the intention behind it. I also see how it's used to set up a future plot device. I just wouldn't interact with someone like that in real life. There's multiple things that would make me cut all ties.

Honestly I would take offence to her not reaching out for help regardless of her nature and it would make me more upset that a "friend" went through so much traumatic stuff that should have been easily avoided. Just seems stupid to me no matter how you look at it, and the lengths she went through would make me question her character regardless.

I guess the beauty of the game and writing is how human the characters feel, enough so that people are even having a conversation like this lmao.

Some people's readings of any given character are very unforgiving, with no desire to question or explore or wonder about their motivations, or their suffering, or what's happening to them in the background. I thought that was the whole point of reading a novel or watching a movie, to open your mind a little and form a different perspective on things. I mean, besides jerking off; obviously this is a porn VN that's supposed to titillate and allow your fantasies to come alive and what not. But, if you're only here for story, then why not treat it like that? Some people just have a very, very, very narrow preference for the drama they're looking for and will close off if they get the slightest inkling of whatever little thing here and there irritates them. I mean, it's all subjective, and there's nothing 'wrong' with that, I just will never get it. Doesn't seem like a good way to discover new things that are really great and stand out.
