Yeah, this. As you'll see when you meet her later at the Chens' store, and then in the first chapter of S2, she's more comfortable with Guy if he passed up her offer without explicitly shooting her down for a deal-breaker reason (age, girlfriend, etc.)
I try to manage the relationships in ways the player might not always expect. While the standard wisdom in AVNs is basically fuck girls >> max points >> fuck girls more, I want to offer different ways to get there. Just because Britt is left a little cold by that encounter doesn't mean she hates the player. She's just feeling shitty about herself. What the player does in following interactions will determine the shape of their relationship.
I've been rewatching Twin Peaks lately, and it makes me think of the scene between Audrey & Agent Cooper, when she snuck into his hotel room naked to surprise him, in need (heh

). It's such a sweet scene, and so full of innocence and dignity, even though there's some very naughty, potentially uncomfortable, sexual tension between a grown FBI agent and a teen. Cooper's the kind of guy I feel like every boy aspired to be at some point, or at least I did, until your vices started getting fed by the internet and by life.
Anyways, I eat that stuff up man, love those kinds of scenes! Some people roll their eyes at them and find them moralizing or w/e, but I find them cozy & inspiring. Look forward to seeing that route through to the end.
No wonder I despise most avns. The 'standard wisdom' is annoying as all hell. I want more than 'bang this chick' that most games entail.
I'm glad FiN is more subtle in its execution.
I agree. And I try to come at it from a non-judgmental pov when I can, even though I'm very judgmental like everyone else, hah. I get the fantasy, and there's nothing wrong with it or anything. But man, it's so shallow & plastic and REALLY gives you the feeling you're playing a 3d sex vn, emphasis on the v, and definitely not the n. Those games make me feel empty afterwards like I just wasted an hour+ of my time... usually because I did.
Even though I'm getting this shit for free and have no business being picky, I really do appreciate it so much when a dev puts in the time and effort to really make something you gravitate to, that you feel excited to play and don't just feel like you're playing a lazy collection game, like you're a big game hunter amassing heads for your wall mounts. I mean, I have some low-hanging fantasies too, but I prefer my escapism to have
some depth, to have something to say about life or people or something. It's so much more fun that way, and 1000% make the erotic scenes that much better.
