Overview:
Front Innocent is a hentai anime made by Satoshi Urushihara, a versatile artist of both mainstream and hentai works, who drew OVA, video games, comics, etc. His main contribution to hentai was through artbooks, one of which--Front Innocent--was adapted into an anime in 2005 by Arms, a great studio that likewise made successful animes, in both mainstream and hentai genres--the most famous being La Blue Girl. The production of Front Innocent was however difficult, because Urushihara was very demanding, by insisting to personally draw much more frames than necessary for a hentai. Arms was also in financial troubles and completely stopped making adult content the same year, focusing instead on Ecchi works, such as Queen's Blade. As a result, only the first episode of Front Innocent was ever released. Both Urushihara and Arms never made adult animes again.
Nevertheless, thanks to Urushihara's exigence, Front Innocent remains one of the most visually impressive hentai animes ever made. The first episode is mostly vanilla, as the story revolves around dutiful maids pleasing their masters, but from Urushihara's artbook, we can infer that the following releases would have been quite dark, with gangrapes and the like.​

The bar is surprisingly low nowadays, considering how old both this and Plastic Little are. The current standard is to make them as big and as round as possible, it's kinda sad.

I just downloaded it, and I am in not trying to sound ungrateful, but this is an upscaled encode that has the smoothening effect. It may look a bit sharper at times, but when viewed at regular monitor distance, it actually looks worse than the other version available in the Satoshi Urushihara Collection that was uploaded a while ago. That one is lower resolution but it does not suffer from smoothening that happens during the upscale process.
This one is also hardsubbed, while the other one is softsubbed.
I know that a lot of people hate lower resolutions and prefer the hardsub upscaled smooth version, and it's good to have both versions available. However I feel like it would be a good idea to put that information in the description, maybe inside parenthesis next to the resolution

Honestly unless you were into really dark themes, you likely wouldn't have enjoyed it much.
Assuming it got put out the way the doujin apparently went, which isn't much of a guarantee considering how it sounded.

Yeah, there seems to be no middle ground. Tbh, I actually believe that flat has become more popular than it would normally be, because of the poor treatment of big boobs and the trend to make them as big baloons as possible. Also, I assume that the current model uses minimum effort/budget and makes just enough money to keep doing the same thing. Putting more effort/budget would be a risk, and the sales would probably not increase proportionately. Surprisingly a lot of people are satisfied with the current model.

Yeah, it's a real bummer when hentai artists clearly only know what big boobs look like from porn stars with implants and have no idea what natural ones look like (or from previous generations of hentai artists fitting that description, lol), and so draw characters who the story tells us have natural ones as though they had implants. Thankfully it's much easier to find works that get it right in hentai manga/doujinshi than hentai anime.
