Soo I have no clue why it happens. It may be one specific place, or one specific scene. But I cannot replicate it. I tried. Full version, Compression, with & without update patch, Ram was chill. Ima link the fix in the OP and my update only.

Eh, if the fix works then it should be good enough. The dev is looking into it, but they've not replied since early this morning, so they might be stumped too. Nothing on Patreon nor an email about a fix.

Well doubt the dev can do anything about it anyways aside from updating to python 3. like Böhser Onkel did.
I can't even replicate it with exactly the same steps I did the first time, doubt they can replicate it

Would make sense why my GPU was spiking so hard at the end and the VRAM was at 24 GB.

it was the fps overkill
(atleast lowering the fps to 30 was the solution for me , with image cache reduced to 512 from 1024)
120fps for a renpy game ~.~

Was supposed to have, I mean some have reported it was better in v0.33. v0.35 is still $20 alpha 3 months later so can't be sure if they have ironed out the issues or not.it was the fps overkill

This is not normal and the error is mine, because I forgot to include a variable that should prevent any romance with Rachel in case she was refused by the player. I'll rectify it!

Of course I read, I read every one of your comments, trying to consider them as far as is reasonable and appropriate for my story.I can't say I disagree.
They are horrible. I've managed to play the last update scene, and, no, I'm not convinced.
Sara is the only exception, Felicity and Ms. Short, aren't worth the effort.
The MC was not a "great" guy, sure. But this treatment they so gladly imposed on him, this coldness, this detachment, is too much.
The Dev is making us say he feels love for them, but, that's NOT my intention. If I ever get a chance I WILL put both of them in the ground. This excuse of a Hacker, a spy, that they care about him, that he has money... fuck them. I don't buy any of it.
That whole day waiting in the reception was the straw that broke the camel's back. I hope this gets an ending where we can put them down as they deserve. Or this game will have been a complete waste of time.
And before someone says that they deserve a 2nd chance, they had it when he woke up, this was their decision, this is what they chose to do with it.
Leonave I know you are reading, I wrote this on purpose, you went too far in the "Bad Girls" act, they are now irrecoverable. You are forcing us to say things that we, the players, don't feel, making us be out of sync with the MC. This only leads to bad blood. It feels forced and unnatural. It is indeed killing my appreciation of the game.
Maybe you'll fix it, probably you will just double down and have your way, it is your choice, it is your game, but what was a rather interesting experience, is now a fucking pain to read.

Okay I can confirm it's related to the version of Renpy, I just tested it On previous version (the same used for v0.38) and it work fine without memory leak. I've corrected typo and some path bugged too so I'll compile it and upload soon for my contributors and for here too.

the bit i played yesterday, the mc is talking about how he loves them - where did this come from?
a lot of inconsistencies in the story :
the whole living with rachel thing
the therapist lovey dovey
the "loving mother" who avoids the mc like the plague
internship at your mothers firm , but no help (money) from her or w/e -suuuuuuure ...
the mc (player) is running through this world like a toddler
and idk where this did come from - but suddenly my mc was a sub to his teacher

.. Yeah I don't think I'll play this latest update, I do not think that my blood pressure will be able to handle that in any capacity.
I was mainly playing to see if MC would get his memories back and to get back at the family. I think that's entirely an impossibility at this point unfortunately.
