You can use the Homeward Bone from your inventory to teleport out of there.

i'm kind of lost. trying to find the guild receptionist from the start of the game but the quest and initial story gave no real clue just underground...i think? i went into the cave once i got brielle and fell into a hole where kobolds were. finished out that area and searched the rest of the area and still no idea. i get the idea of this being more of a search related thing to find stuff but this is EXTREMELY vague and comes off as very unfinished in general as a process. i WANT to like this game but the fact that it comes off this way really throws me off. i don't dislike the game just its really confusing. plus the controls are weird too >.<

Hey, just noticed the naming is kinda messed up. Just booted up the game and renamed the Player and immediately I am greeted by Tera calling me Sep and Morrigan shows the Chat pannel with Septim.

True. When we started this build, there was no option to name your character. We later received requests to allow renaming the character, whether it would impact what people called you or not. So, we added the option for those who wanted it. However, by this time, there were too many references to Septim by name to completely change the dialouge.
But we realize that many people want to identify more closely with their characters, so we're taking that into account for future titles.
