Man.. I am so sad. I loved your first game dev, but somehow the writing is less coherent in this one. Maybe I have rose tinted glasses for Making memories, but I was expecting the quality of the writing to be at least on par with the middle of MM. Hope all the best for you. Maybe I'll check back a year from now.

Congratulations on the release.
I received the release notification today. Before purchasing, could you confirm if there are achievements on Steam?
I know it's listed with achievements, but they're not showing up yet. I just want to start playing if achievements are already implemented.
There are total of 28 achievements as of Ep5 update, I don't know why they're not showing up but they're implemented.
I'll look into it!

I found out today that this also happens in your other game. I discovered the achievements through Exophase, as I checked Further Education there, and the achievements appeared.
I've already added both to my cart.

The lewd content is made more palatable for Steam's liking, I wish to go full Adults Only later on because the cost of going adults only on the basis of sex and not other subject matter that I'll be covering later is too steep for me RIGHT NOW.
But on patreon? Oh yeah full access nothing's hidden and if you (or anyone) wants to experience THAT, just send me proof that you got a steam copy(and later on just a reminder) and I'll give you the patreon version, no need to pay twice.

Can you give us an example of differences between Steam and Patreon?
Patreon is uncut, but no achievements and trading cards.
Steam has some censoring (Sexual), but has achievements and trading cards.

oh man oh man, just where to start with this one, but i will be brutally honest
first appreciate the honesty, but for me as a long time steam user and avid 3dcg AVNs buyer (just on the basis of self belief thing to pay for entertainment i consume, and to support AVNs devs) nothing grind my gears more than this:
"But on patreon? Oh yeah full access nothing's hidden"
seriously what's the point/reason to pay any cent for this, you'll get an inferior product and missing content, if i didn't buy it already like i do with most of 3dcg AVNs day1 and wanted to support you i would've refund it in a heartbeat, and when i decide to view it thanks to your shocking revelation i will download it from here for freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee... why!?? because with this statement you stated clearly your intentions of converting steam buyers to patrons even though when you shared your first couple days earnings on making memories you saw the amount of money you can make on steam if you did right by customers!!!!!!!!!!
why go with frequent nudity instead of adults only from the beginning!!!?????????
and what's that rule breaking in the AVN to make it that hard to accept, even though steam most of the time is more lenient than patreon except for couple cases!????
also isn't the screenshot proof enough for you???
sorry but you dropped the ball hard on this one, i don't know what else to say other than fuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
Edit: how hard is it to release .rpa patch here or if you have a website to make the steam's version whole without breaking achievements and bugs, many has done it before btw...

It's not. There are plenty of games that have a free 18+ DLC.
Edit: Sorry, misread your statement. Still, the point stands... Having a patch for the Steam version would be trivial. I'm curious about the patreon version though, since I'm wondering what Steam took offense with exactly.

It's not a full porn/erotica that loads of people are going to buy it, neither is it full interactive 3D game that's gonna sell normally within gamers - so I already knew I'm kinda screwed when I started this project.
I said earlier, this game might not even belong here- I've gone my own way for the story which I already knew it going to upset fellas who were used to MM, which is 100% warranted.
I want my game to be played by most people- and with patreon I can't do that, and on Steam it won't push AO as much as M-17 and that's why this change, I'd much rather prefer people but the steam version than the patreon one because when this game finally goes AO they'll get a free update with all the "Adult" content in it.
Also, fellas are just a message away from receiving the patreon version, just be a free member and PM me the proof.
Steam didn't take offense with anything, I wanted it to be M-17 and steam kept making it AO, that's the problem.

I understand your dilemma well. As for the game, I personally prefer the Steam version. I think it's right what you're doing to satisfy the audience of this site and Patreon, who generally seek something different.

wrong wrong wrong, you would think that's the case but trust me time will prove to you how wrong that statement really is
there's only two types of successful VN on steam, and it has nothing to do with rating, and steam won't push your AVN just because fucking low rating than AO
1st non adult VNs that have a compelling stories and provides some values for consumers or VNs that has mild sexual content that's necessary and enrich the narrative (unlike you removing scenes intentionally for "better sales", but you're only alienating and fucking over people that want to support you)
2nd AVNs that are actually decent and provide certain value or fetish or fantasy to a consumer, it helps too if you already have the fanbase from places like here
i can't speak on the quality on this because i haven't tried it, but why should anyone care to buy it on steam in its current state when you removed content intentionally to get "more money" and inadvertently directing steam buyers to another paywall, i'm on steam and not fucking patreon, and when i buy a product there i expect to get the same product as anyone else or at least a disclaimer, not some watered down version
your whole fucking approach with this AVN baffles me, rarely indie devs make it on steam with this mind set (money first), always deliver the best possible product you can and when customers see that and reviews reflect it then you'll be rewarded for your efforts and steam will recommend your product no matter the rating!
again i have no problem if this has no explicit content whatsoever, but that's not the case here!
oh man i'm so tempted now to download it just to leave a negative review and warn other buyers but i hate doing things out of spite or anger, at least put a disclaimer before the one currently present warning buyers that there's a TRUE uncensored version somewhere else!

Correct. From a marketing perspective the dev alienated his fans and audience by switching genres. Worse, reading MM's reviews, there's very little mention of how well written it was. Instead, most positive reviews mention its lewds and graphics.
Again, you're entirely right.
Steam recommends games based on playtime and reviews. So, the dev's first priority needs to be to develop a game that's polished and keeps players interested. The age rating matters so little, and I very much doubt the 17-18 year-olds are going to be his biggest market segment. No, it will be adults, the same adults who support his patreon.
After giving the game an honest try, this is what I ended up doing. Not out of spite or anything (I have nu issues playing an AVN celibately), but because the writing just isn't at the required level to carry a story- and character driven AVN.
The 0.4 patreon version has 1 lewd scene, of a woman and an escort. I actually liked the steam version a bit more after that.
