I am heartbroken by this decision. I understand that it must weigh the factors of "realism" in the story (they are already "old" people that in itself could have complications without adding the incest factor).

The story is too focus on realism while I can't even get some highlights or the story is not much enjoyable, like some players said' boring'. The method of story telling in this game is plain which is worsen in this kind of detective/investigation story. The IVF test tube baby thing for Ava is really a turn off to me, especially I liked her a lot in previous game. Not a fan of such plot.

Understanding where he's coming from doesn't mean I like the decision, just as I don't like how Xio's arc concluded.
In both cases I come to understand the whys, they make the story.
And also, crossing a little with reality, deciding to have children by unconventional methods, speaking of the love they share, is a difficult, very difficult decision.
I understand the fetish of "Having a baby with sister" but, even since MM I've established the characters MAY have some moral and ethical freedom (Like having a relationship within themselves), I've never shown them like outright reckless.
in mid 40s, having a incestuous baby is far beyond reckless, it borders into the realm of stupidity, and even cruelty for the their future child.
The baby (or the responsibility of having a baby sibling) plays a huge role in this story, and of course this will feeling boring, we are not even in america yet, I'm still setting up the premise.
But again, you guys even gave it a try, that feels enough for me!

Well, this game is officially more perplexing than Making Memories. Once again it has most of the ingredients to make a great AVN, but either fumbles around with them or ignores them completely. I'll go character by character:
Carmine: As far as I can tell, it seems like Carmine is the only LI in the game, but there's literally no progress made on that front yet. Why would you have her hire some douchebag gigolo? Is that supposed to make her likable, relatable, or desirable? Because it really didn't. Then have him talk shit straight to Flynn's face and there isn't even an option to say anything to him. What did this add? There are an infinite number of better ways to let Flynn find Carmine's pill bottle and let the audience know that she isn't comfortable with men, which don't involve her being ready to fuck a gigolo and then chickening out at the last minute.
Elodie: She is very concerned with Flynn finding her attractive, yet she's a lesbian and apparently not a LI. Why are you teasing the audience like this for something you don't even plan on delivering? This game has a "Lesbian" tag, despite Lesbian sex only ever being alluded to, the most girl on girl in this is just Elodie and Emma giving each other a peck on the lips. Additionally, Elodie allowing herself to continuously be drugged, which is stated to have long standing effects, by Emma makes no sense whatsoever, especially without even telling Flynn, Roy, or Carmine about it. Elodie apparently doesn't know that Carmine is Flynn's mom, yet Carmine says she watched Elodie "grow up" and Flynn was already friends with Elodie in High School, before the fact that he was Carmine's son was hidden.
Elise: You have both Flynn and the audience gain an interest in her by having Flynn state that she was genuinely flirting with him (she's the only character in the whole game who does this other than Runa in flashbacks and possibly the agent at the end of ep 4), then you FORCE the audience to watch a sex scene (literally the only sex scene in the whole game, and it's completely pointless nonsense) with her and a gigolo dressed up as Flynn, despite the fact that she already had a meeting set-up with Flynn for the very next morning. If she wanted to fuck Flynn that badly she could've tried her luck then. You talk about sticking to realism (Which I'll get into later) yet Elise exclusively fucking gigolos is completely and totally unrealistic, I'd argue it's the most unrealistic thing in the whole game actually. It would literally be more realistic for her to be a virgin because she never met the right guy than for her to just dead fish her way through sex with gigolos, does the woman not know what dildos and vibrators are? Then as if that weren't enough, there's a choice about whether or not Flynn will give her a chance after she gets out of prison, this is an obvious tease at her being a LI. Again, why do this to your audience? You endear us to a character, ruin her as a LI, then ask if we like her, a choice which almost certainly doesn't even matter anyway. What's the point?
Ava: If you are going to build your game around incest, do it properly, don't chicken out at the last minute. You already set the game in a world with advanced technology, there is no reason Ava shouldn't have Alvaro's baby and just have it's genes edited to preclude any defects. She's rich and designer babies already exist in real life, with lesser tech than they have in this world of holograms and guns that jam when pointed at the wrong person. Also, similar to the lesbian tag, this game has an "Incest" tag yet the only incest is a singular kiss between Ava and Alvaro.
Xiomara: What was the purpose of her getting together with Alvaro if you were just going to toss that relationship by the wayside anyway? I was right that she would work better as a LI for Flynn than Alvaro, but it's too late for that now. Completely wasted character, in both games.
This game also has the "Virgin" and "Romance" tags, yet there's essentially no romance, barring the flashback with Runa, whom is not present in the game or seemingly even a LI at all. And the only technical virgins in the game are, presumably, Elodie, whom I am to understand is not a LI, and once again Runa, who is not actually in the game and is presumably not even a LI. The virgin tag does not apply to a Male MC, it's for female characters.
Overall, there is enjoyment to be had here, but the game really likes to get in it's own way and doesn't present itself with clarity or honesty to the player, and to be clear, I'm not simply complaining about a lack of sex scenes when I say this. The game isn't even clear on who is or isn't a LI, which is the absolute most basic part of an AVN.

I don't want to spoil anything but, All I can say is fellas should stop seeing this as a AVN, but a TV show - that's how I've wrote it.
It all comes together in the end.
Oh and btw, about carmine and the gigolo, It was amelie's idea (The commissioner) who planned a whole day for carmine, that she would appreciate some intimacy with a professional- which of course doesn't go well because carmine just isn't ready yet- just like flynn.
As I've already cleared in my previous replies, this game might as well not belong here, my vision for this evolved a whole lot over time, way before I even started on MM.
But again, you've played it so far, given it a chance and for that I'm very grateful!
Whether the gigolo was Carmine's idea or not, she still chose to go back to the hotel room with him and was well on her way to fucking him, when she was presumably drugged (judging by the fact that she got hammered off a sip of wine and the fact that oysters were present, similarly to what Emma was doing). The fact that Flynn just watches this dude talk trash about his mom, right in his face, even though he's established as being extremely blunt and not at all afraid of ruffling feathers, with no opportunity for retort, is also frustrating.
It also doesn't change the fact that Alvaro is getting super cucked since he can't even have his own babies with his lover(s).
Like I've said, I think there's a good story to be told here, but from a meta perspective, the way it's being told is not very conducive to telling that story.
I think I've failed in some way to tell the story, but carmine wasn't drugged - it was here own pills, she passed out because of those pills because a massage was progressing into something more and that's when her instincts kicked in.
she very well would've enjoyed the services of the gigolo but that's the theme- both flynn and carmine are not over their lovers and the mere thought of them touching someone or being touched makes them sick, which will be discovered extremely in depth in future, the game isn't even 10% finished.
The gigolo will of course talk trash since she would've obviously hurt him given her background and her physique and of course flynn understands that civilians aren't to be messed with, especially someone in that profession where their looks and their body makes them their livelihood.
And about alvaro, we'll just have to agree to disagree on that.
Like I said what does the gigolo add? All that scene manages to accomplish is make Carmine seem like an unscrupulous woman who is willing to get fucked by anyone, yet chickens out at the last minute. In other words, she sees no problem with spreading her legs for men she doesn't care about or even know, she just isn't ready yet. That's not attractive, endearing, or even interesting, it's just gross. It detracts from her character, similarly to Elise. What benefit is there to making her that way? None.
As for Flynn, he doesn't have to knock the guy out, but he could at the very least tell him to shut up and fuck off or something, instead of just taking it like a bitch. Especially when the guy puts his card into his shirt, for someone who's so averse to being touched this is the sole instance where Flynn doesn't react even though it's the most normal/appropriate instance to react to.
