I think you need to pick the right dialogue options every single time, the "morally good" ones that are about saving your love interest more than getting stronger.

Turns out I didn't even have to cheat, if you throw all your cash in augments and max the very first weapon in the list you never even give a turn to the enemies anymore such a bad game
