I really appreciate the drama build-up, and not every single part of every single in-game day needs to be stocked with sex scenes.

I’m seeing some mixed reception. Some are disappointed, while others argue it’s just a quick read if you hold CTRL. For me, timing it came out to under 30 seconds with CTRL, and reading everything took less than 10 minutes.

In the credits the dev explains it all. He fell sick and was out of commission for at least a month or more, and he wanted to drop it next month on the anniversary day but another month of dev time didn't feel right so dropped this update but he's trying to get all the rest of the scenes till the end of the day out prolly in like 2 months.

And I'm surprised some people are disappointed because this is his biggest morning update so far, literally two times the usual size. But I guess everyone came with their own expectations.

the takes of "heh skip bros just wanna goon lol" bra its a fucking porn game. the dev should know their audience is here MAINLY for the porn. also hot take but if it took you 3 months to make 15 minutes of a game (that had no scenes lewd or otherwise) then maybe to dont drop the update without anything to show for it. honestly im more frustrated by the white knighting then this dud update. lets just admit that 90 days for 15 minutes of flat text on still images is disappointing even if it's a masterpiece (which it isnt, no offence dev)

Let’s be generous and say the dev was sick for a week. That still leaves around 81 days for nothing beyond morning-after dialogue, with no new scenes or major set pieces. The writing here is not overly complex, mostly a conversation between two characters and a mom, so it is hard not to worry about pacing.

It has also been roughly 281 days since the last Sophie scene that this morning follows, since we have been focused on the futa on futa route for almost a year. If we add another two months before the next update, that is about 146 days to finish just one day of content. I really enjoy the game and want it to succeed, but I am hoping future updates can balance the routes a bit more so all players get to see progress.

Thanks a lot , took a while but after deleting the one in the appData and went back, the saves didn't delete until I delete both the one in appData and in the game folder before everything clears.

I'm not interested in the futaxfuta content, but what really bothers me about it, is how a game about a futa ntring a couple turns into a FxF fuckfest if you go through the depravity path. I just want the futa to be depraved in her way of ntring the guy and using the chick.

I would argue that if all you want is porn, the hub and other sites exist that provide just that. Why demand such simplicity from a format that developed to deliver an alternative to what is already readily available? Weak, misplaced stance.

Even if we are extremely generous and say it was a month, that still leaves about two months for an update that only added very straightforward morning dialogue.

This is not meant to be negative. I enjoy the game and want it to succeed, but constructive feedback is important so the dev knows when pacing or content volume might not meet player expectations. Only hearing praise may feel encouraging in the short term, but it does not help identify areas that need improvement.

To be fair he was still hard at work trying to fix problems and animations with the last update until the public update. We usually count from the public release because that's likely when he actually stops updating the current version and might have started working on the next one.

We don't know the dev's situation, we just know he tries to keep up with the game and it's huge demand. Let's just hope this feedback reaches him and he's able to spend more time working on the game in the future.

I get that some people count from the public release, but I go by the earliest possible play date since that’s when I started waiting and many others did too. I also see early releases more as a way for devs to start earning from their work rather than as a strict beta test. You pay to play early, not just to report and fix bugs. Some bugs get fixed and dialogue gets tweaked, but for a simple Koikatsu VN it is usually 95% finished at that stage.

I am not trying to be harsh. I enjoy the game and support the dev, but I do think this update felt underwhelming for the time it took. As you said, I hope the feedback helps and that future updates have more to dig into.

We don't know how much time went into plotting and writing the general arcs and conversation, we cannot say whether scarlet already put some work towards the next update. Obviously there is the hint about a longer content update, so being naive and paying a lot of trust and goodwill upfront would be to simply let dev cook on this one.

We already had a short burst of "overhyping" and feeding some outrageous expectations for this update some pages earlier in this thread.

And do remember: there was feedback (although not sure if it was here or patreon) that some build-up is appreciated instead of spamming h-scenes. Having some lore and worldbuilding does no harm to this game, since its' pace is already quite fast in regards to h-scenes. Just let Scarlet cook and have some faith that the build-ups and bits of lore are just making the next update sweeter.
Personally I welcome smaller bits of lore and ideally a bit of romance / building up a bit of emotional tension and affection.

Sadly if the devs try themselves out with different routes and kinks some vocal pirates come along and start bashing on everything. Just looking at the post above yours is evidence enough of some people being quick to judge without keeping the broader picture (the whole game) in mind.

Brother, I don't mean to be rude, but where is all this "constructive" criticism you keep referencing? The grand majority of the negative feedback is not constructive by any metric, it's just people whining that there's no sex in this update and/or dooming about the f/f path supposedly being the priority now. Vapid shit, mostly. Now, could Scarlet do something productive with this type of feedback? Possibly. That doesn't make it helpful or valuable on its own, however.

Like I said earlier, I think it's perfectly reasonable for some people to be disappointed. We just had a lot of updates for a path that doesn't cater to the tastes of many in the thread, so I empathize with folks on that. And yes, this is a porn game, so sex is an expectation for sure. It's just a lot of the tone underpinning the "constructive" feedback here kinda sucks ass lol. Much of it reads like people have been personally spited, not that they're simply underwhelmed. Even a good portion of your own posts on this amount to "well he couldn't have been sick THAT long". Like, c'mon dude. Have a lil empathy for your fellow man.

Thats something i really liked because it helps scarlet set more context whitout having to waste time in the netori path. We already know how much of a menace futas tend to be thanks to the futaxfuta path, so people freaking out, leaving school early and hana not going on her date with ollie and playing videogames all night work because we have the futaxfuta as background to know what might be happening behind scenes
