I don't want him to do it for free, it's a stupid idea. But it shows he was willing to lie to keep milking people, he had already been promising release dates for years before that but this time he legitimately lied and even now not even over two years later is the game finished... or well, someone might say it was finished over four years ago since there's been no progress since but that can't be proven.

Oh and if it's not the case, well... "a month" to fix bugs will probably take another two years.

And if he had released the game back then you'd have flamed him for releasing an unfinished and broken pile of garbage. Also, good job on not reading what I actually wrote. "4 weeks" was the estimated time for the missing content to be fully added, not about the game being bug free.

The reason I shared the game is because I don't want F95 users to waste their money.

They've been developing the game for a long time, they've pushed back the release date, they haven't kept their promises to backers, and they don't listen to criticism.

It is inconceivable that a game released after about 9-10 years of development is an unfinished game, and even though asking people to wait no longer works, they call those who criticize them bad people.

Gamers are consumers, not purse strings.

Someone buys something at a department store and says, ‘This product is not yet finished. Do you sell items by saying, ‘Please wait a moment and we will add the components’?

There must be no more deception.

Like he did now? Because i played through the game and it's literally the demo's cobbled together with content removed the earth level is blatantly unfinished ton's of missing dialogue and voice overs and the 5th level is just a level design mess with assets just randomly thrown around with no purpose other then to extend gameplay time and be confusing.

Most of this game has been finished for 4-5 years no new animations no new cg's no new enemy's you can go back download each demo individually and play them separately for more content and better dialogue then what's in this cobbled together mess of a game.

As someone whose followed the game and supported the game financially at one point since HW's original ULMF thread that he had nuked because his ego couldn't handle the criticism this game is a waste of time and HW deserves everything being flung at him.

Really enjoyed the first three levels despite the boss battles being underwhelming. Was kind've hoping there would be a Newgame+ with Faye so I made sure to rescue her every level I could. After experiencing the insanely unfinished 4th level, which you can't even save Faye, I went to refund the game. I don't know how a developer can justify delaying the game so much and then release the game in this state or charge $20 for it.

Anybody have a save that actually works and unlocks all the gallery? I ain't playing this again. Been off and on following this game from the very first announcement and heap of promise it had back then. I have a rather sizable collection of previous versions that built up without fully realizing it. Might be interesting to get some kind of a video up somewhere actually compiling the version histories and how much progress has/hasn't been made over the years.

Anyways, an actual working gallery save would be super appreciated.

they get $7k+ a month from patreon, from 2017 to late 2022 they got over $10k a month which peaked at 15k in 2018 if they couldn't sustain themselves and pay off their debts with that they really should fix their spending habits.

the line is roughly the 10k mark.

I've just beaten him a few seconds ago. To beat him, you need to equip the clover, the cat mask and the australian pie. When yu're low on health, just shoot him with normal projectiles. It won't deal any dmg, but you will regain 5HP per shot. To beat him, you have to charge your shot with the same color as his own attacks. When he's on the ground and making the ground rise, stick as close to him as possible and shot at him with normal attacks, and he will go down in like 5 seconds. There's a second round to this boss, so you have to do all of this over again.

As if that would still show anything other than incompetency. This is what I don't get, every single piece of evidence we have can only point towards negative possibilities surrounding HW. This one as well. Even if you disproved that they were milking the project, you'd still only be proving that they were spending other people's money incompetently.

Wow, the boss fight in the end level, the limbo level and the final boss fight are quite the trainwreck. In the end for some reason I got a bad ending where Talia tried to reinstate Worm in her time period, even though all I did in my run was helping people. What a dissapointing ending.

So I'm curious: I've only played a demo of this game years ago when there were only like two enemies or so and I don't think CG existed at all and now I've played the "finished" version.
Was there ever an actual shift from non-con to "consensual" or did everyone just assume it's non-con because dialogue was missing before?

Either way I gotta say the voice acting is really good across the board and made for an nice change of pace. Otherwise the game seems decent if not exactly pectacular.

Things would actually have turned out better for him if he'd done this. He would have released it to a fanbase that wouldn't have been as jaded and critical, since they wouldn't have experienced the delays, lies, and shit he did over the last 4 years. Game would have been 5 years into development, not 9 to 10 years, so development time arguments wouldn't have had as much weight. The databanks wouldn't have mucked the experience up either. Removing another avenue of arguments critics could have made.

It would still have ignited controversy, but not to the level we've seen now. And he could have put it out as early access and pulled the same card he has now with greater success. I don't believe the argument he made that steam denied the game, I think that was disproven by other game developers and steams approval process. He would also, by now, have been able to fix the game up in accordance to the communities wishes instead of his wet dream lore shit. And by 2024 the game would have been forgotten or fixed up. Instead of him drawing out development time even further with his "soft release fixes". Which are gonna take more than a year or two for him to "fix" I predict.
