for some reason, poison games seem to only get MTL releases after a certain point

That's the old version. Search for the MOTION EDITION of gal family. You might find it through google search.

Apparently the person who uploaded the game did not check the language settings
The game on Steam has an initiation file that works with said configuration (appmanifest)
Checking the internal data of the game, there is a complete translation into Japanese, but it would be necessary to find a way to start the game without the Steam file
