Hey guys, it's report time. I'm starting to transfer the assets I need from Daz to Blender. And first I decided to transfer the character John, as I thought to start with him, not a bad idea, I thought it would be easy. But I jumped to a conclusion, his customisation is shit.... I'm not going to describe all the problems I encountered during the work, I'll just say that they were many, but the good news is that I now have a better understanding of how to work with the diffeomorphic plugin and what can and cannot be loaded from the morphs for male models. And the good news is that I've figured out how to import a Daz clothing collection and use its pose library. This saves me a lot of time as I don't have to create clothes and pose characters from scratch. Of course, not everything is perfect, there are some issues, after all Daz and Blender are different software. All in all it's been a very educational week, have a nice day everyone.
PS.
I really enjoyed working and correcting the clothes with Blender's built-in tools, everything is solved with a few clicks, it's very convenient. Next week I'll continue with the character transfer and customisation, I have a few NPCs to make and then I'll start transferring Brianna. Oh yeah in Discord I'll post some test renders with John.

I have a question:
With the change the CW is making to Blender, will the appearance of the characters look more realistic or will they remain the same as the original game? It's in the discord but I didn't understand that part

Preliminary version of Brianna, now I'm going to create the physics of her breasts and test for bugs.
It was a bit difficult to adjust her skin because of its colour and since there were problems with her nipples in the original texture, I had to Photoshop them with a different map. Preparing assets #2 Hey guys. I'm continuing to transfer the characters into Blender. So far two characters are done, John and Brianna. Next week I will start the porting of Karen and I will have to work hard on her as I want her to be the most sexy looking character possible. The main change will be her hair, which will be changed and recreated from scratch by geonodes. Her haircut will still be short, but the style will be visually different, I don't know which one yet. OK guys, what is the problem, here are some examples of Karen's hairstyles, taken from one of the paid addons. With the first hairstyle she turned into Scarlet. The second hairstyle looks okay. But I think if it was chosen it would need some tweaking. The third hairstyle I don't think it is Karen, but a completely different character, although maybe it's just me? It's hard to recreate Karen in Blender the way she was in Daz, but I won't dwell on that point for long, as long as I have a few personal days off I'll work on her hair a bit more. I have to decide what I'm going to choose. At the moment I'm sitting creating hair from scratch using geonodes based on references, where her hair makes Karen look almost like she does in Daz. She has a short haircut, but the style is different and sexier. Anyway, I'm still working on it. It's so much easier to create new characters than it is to carry over old ones.
