Personally while from a narrative and characterization point of view I know what to expect from this Dev and I don't mind, I do wish they'd just have a bit more interesting setting, look at
Talothral for example, currently on his 4th game, conceptually the narrative premise and characterization is the pretty similar but he made the different games unique, the first was a Modern Fantasy, the second / third were Scifi, part 1 and 2 of the same story, the current 4th game is pure Fantasy, so while he keep repeating something along the same lines their is enough new flavor between the games to keep it interesting.
NeverLucky, well the first game was Modern, the second was Medieval, the third and this fourth both Modern, I had really hoped after Couples they'd go for a setting that would offer more interest than just normal Modern setting now imagine the same narrative, but the characters are Superheroes, at least it would be an interesting twist, a slice of life of a superhero team, or they serve on a small spaceship together, the point is just adding a bit of spice to the setting to make it more interesting and compensate for the very redundant narrative and characterization.
