The protagonists of Light of my life are also not the classic pinup models you see everywhere. Especially the young one also has a chubby physique and the noses are very pronounced. Not to mention the three office harpies. All of them are out-of-the-box models. The game is very popular anyway. Naughty Road is also one of the authors to have won one of last years Christmas contests, despite unconventional models. Again, these are just facts.

I've never heard of this game. I looked it up and it does seem popular. I'm not sure how that's relevant. I didn't say Game of Hearts couldn't be popular. It already is. I said there would be a limit on popular it could be. If everything else about the game was exactly the same, but M&M's models were more conventionally attractive, the game would be more popular than it already is.

Again, you've missed the point. My opinions on M&M's appearances aren't even relevant. I've not mentioned it at all in this exchange. The point is they don't fit what is most widely considered to be conventionally beautiful. By the wide standard they both certainly would be considered attractive, especially Maxime for her age. But "attractive" is not the same level as "beautiful."

Hah, I didn't dislike her either. But yeah Maximus is definitely a dude's name, I thought it was the default name for MC and I'd just forgotten it.

My mistake, it is a male name indeed, but Maxime is a strange name to me, so I got it all messed up. The MC default name is Red.
Maxime is supposed to be around 8 years older than MC, so I would even argue that her face matches a much older woman. Also I don't think using a more mature or unusual models in those kind of games is a bad thing, but using it for the very first sex scene just minutes into the game could send a wrong message and affect player retention in a negative way.
Meredith fits the script very well and has this Bridget Jones appeal that I would consider it pretty mainstream or at least popular enough. Juliet, Ruby and especially Angel switch the focus and lead things into a very different direction. Perhaps the Author aims for some kind of gradation or he changed plans due to feedback, maybe someone following the patreon has some real insights.

the reflection in the eyes is exactly what I expect from this update.
For Meredith I guess.. although i really wish she could participate on another story in the future release

I seriously doubt she'll disappear. It's just her corruption story that is reaching the end.

Yeah, Maxime hasn't disappeared from the story despite her "corruption" story being over. I doubt Meredith will either.
