All of the Dev's I've interacted with have been great. It's not always rainbows and sunshine, but good luck getting that many people to agree on everything, especially when the group is as diverse as the dev community is. Most people seem to have good intentions, and it's been crazy to see people come together for this Visa and Mastercard situation. There are some real troopers making moves behind the scenes. I'd be scared to be on the other side.
I've enjoyed interacting with the player community almost as much as I've enjoyed making the game. I really like the vibe we seem to have going, especially with some of the thread regulars. The amount of actual negativity has been minimal, and it's usually pretty easy to brush it off. I've reread the thread a couple of times, and I always get a good chuckle at some of the banter. Unfortunately for all of you, I'm one of those degenerates who finds himself hilarious, so I'm always looking to crack a good joke or two.
I'm pretty happy with my rendering quality nowadays. I've definitely gotten better over time, and I hope to continue improving, as theres always room to grow. Having better hardware now definitely helps. My initial release had quite a bit lower quality than what you see now. I've since retroactively fixed it, so I was comparing MTC to a fairly different product at the time. Missfortune puts in a lot of hard work to make their renders look the way they do, a lot of post-production goes into each and every one. It's a whole art form and skill set in itself.
The players are an even more diverse group than the dev community, everyone wants something a little or sometimes a lot different. Including myself, I have my own preferences and desires. I try not to let them bleed through too much. So I try to make as much as I can optional. I try to strike a balance of making the game as appealing for as many people as possible without making a game that appeals to no one because it's trying to appeal to everyone. Player feedback has been integral for that, so I really appreciate everyone who has voiced their opinions.
