Solid game, one of the few I still keep up with now that I'm a dev.
I don't like to deviate from the topic of GOI in the thread, but I'm curious since being a dev surely takes up a lot of time, even if you do it as a hobby. Since I'm guessing with what you said that you "sacrificied" your progress on some games, which are the ones that made the cut?

Oh, I bookmarked that one months ago but it got overshadowed by the dozens of others I added later on  I'm currently catching up with My New Memories but, as soon as I'm done, I'll give that one a go for sure! Although, a thing that confused me about this game is that, in the screenshots, you see what looks like two different guys involved in lewd scenes. Is it the same guy with a shave and a different trim? Are there multiple protagonists? I have to say that I'm not really a big fan of watching other dudes getting it on, and I think this is why I was reluctant at first to try the game.
Nope. Just the one dude. The harem aspect is not the only great thing about that story. I won't say more. I'm not gonna do a spoiler about a different story in Remveer's thread. Just trust me. You will like it.

Don't worry, I definitely don't want any spoilers, you just eased my mind with that clarification

Interesting that the queen of the Harem in that game is called Jessy.........

Yeah, I alluded to that in an earlier post in this thread. I think Rem was one of the few who got the reference. You probably just missed it..., might have been during your nap time.:sneaky:

It's not a very big list, and I'm sure I'll forget a few. A lot of them are the popular ones. I play Eternum and Ripples whenever they get an update. Artemis is another one I play whenever it's updated. There quite a few I always download when I see them and then wait to play when I have nothing I can work on for one reason or another. Game of Hearts, The Seven Realms, Desert Stalker, The Race of Life, SWTA: Unbroken, New Atonich, Projekt: Passion.

I definitely play everything a bit differently now as well. I'm often analyzing frame composition, transitioning, and all kind of other techniques that devs use. Always looking to take cues and inspiration. I also sometimes will pick up and play a trending game for the sole purpose of analyzing it. I'm a complete amateur in every aspect of being a dev so I mostly learn through osmosis :ROFLMAO:. I've often heard the most successful writers are often some of the most avid readers. So I try to consume a lot of media in general.

Well, apart from The Seven Realms, which I still haven't played, those are amazing AVNs and there are definitely some of my favorites there (especially Artemis, Desert Stalker and Projekt: Passion). I'm still one of those weirdos who, while still having played the game, haven't connected that much to Ripples though. I enjoy it and it's objectively really good, but I don't know why it doesn't click that much with me. I feel left out at times :ROFLMAO:

As for your second paragraph, that's definitely a common practice. I think it's happened to all of us who have gotten deep into any sort of media entertainment. I'm Spanish, and I remember that I had a time in my life in which I preferred to watch any English product (game, movie, tv show, etc.) with English audio and subtitles. Then, I submerged myself into video game translation, and I suddenly went to the habit of still using the original audio, but now with Spanish subtitles. Not for a lack of understanding, of course, but to see how localisation works in different situations. You're suddenly consuming said media differently, as you're not only along for the ride with the story, gameplay or whatever elements there are; but you're constantly analyzing every single word and its equivalent, creating a corpus to understand repetition and context, the use of idioms, etc. I get that we then perceive products (in this case games) differently, and it can be overwhelming at times how you can't detach from your analytic self any longer
And to my knowledge, yes, almost every single succesful writer or aspiring one is definitely an avid reader. I think that, most of the time, the more you care and have engaged with the industry, the better and more appreaciated your work will be in the end.

The idea is honestly really interesting, but we'd have to see how far Jess is willing to have a sort of "cuck" fetish. I mean, maybe she's alright with the whole sharing idea, but it's not something she particularly enjoys, and that wouldn't be a bad thing. Let's see how Remveer's approach will be. Still, what JoeTheMC84 is very peculiar indeed, although I think that for a "first time", it's better between only the MC and the girl. Like the case you've mentioned with Seph, I think it's best if their first time together is brought with certain intimacy, it's quite a remarkable moment after all. And, while the idea with Jess sounds cool, I think it would taint a bit a moment of "deflowering", for a lack of a better word, so it's best if it happens once another relationship has been "settled."
A little late to the conversation my post started, but this one brought up a good point. I'm sure most girls would rather have their first time be private, if all the first times are the exact same (alone, on a bed, slow, gentle, what not) then they could feel like carbon copies and that could get boring. I love virgins in games, and I'm fairly certain we can say there will be a few in this at least, so having then be different in their first times could be really good, like yeah, Seph is probably less likely to be open to having someone else watch, but Kelly already seems pretty adventrous (playing around with Seph right there) so maybe she'd be open to the idea of having one of the more experienced girls (or maybe Seph) be there to encourage her while it's happening. Just ideas of course, we probably have some time before we get to those moments anyway and who knows what the dynamics will be like when we get there.

I think the pillow is calling my name instead, I'll dream of dialogue tonight just for you. ;)

Well, if Spanish game translation is something that still interests you, I may have to employ you for a job in the future...

I know my favorite author is a huge history buff and has read a ton of religion and history books. So it makes sense "knowledge is power," or something like that. We'll see about the appreciation part, just knowing there's a few people out there that enjoy my work is more than enough for me :D

I hope you're kidding, don't get my hopes up! I have a Master's degree on video game translation and localization (from English to Spanish, although I can do it backwards as well), so yeah, it pretty much interest me  It's actually how I got into AVNs in the first place, although I haven't got any luck so far and have stayed in the industry mainly because I've enjoyed some AVNs way too much.

Oh, I'm sure that your work so far is more than appreciated, but once it grows even more, this is definitely going to be a massive work, I'm 100% sure. Just look at how much love and support you're getting even though we've barely scratched the surface of the game.
