I typically have to follow it up with some nonsense story:
"What do you mean I'm adopted but not adopted? Mom put the wine glass down, that's your 7th glass and it's 9 am."

Thank goodness for mediocre VNs that take days to slog through to tide me over until the good stuff updates.
