The beginning of any good tale is a bit slower paced while the core of the story, central characters, and any pertinent lore or settings are fleshed out. Yeah, I know, nothing like stating the obvious. My reason for saying this is that I agree with you about the pacing. I think it will need to continue at this pace for another update or even two. As you have said, many of the characters we've been introduced to so far need more depth. I think things will pick up when the football season starts. Keep in mind we have an entire senior year of high school to traverse. Honestly, I could see this story going all the way up to at least part of MC's college career, and maybe even into his pro career. Buckle up. It may be a long story. Dunno, maybe
Remveer will comment.
Even though you say one year of development is a concern, I would point out that there have been four substantial releases in that time. That's an update every three months. That's a very respectable pace; especially for a lone developer. If he can maintain that pace, I think he will have no problem keeping fans immersed in the story, and looking forward to updates.
Of course, this is all speculation. We shall see. For now, I'm enjoying the story and happy to go along for the ride.
