Well, I can certainly understand, especially given her keen insight, why you would keep her all for yourself. I take a similar stance for my wives.
The pace of the story itself will definately go through ebbs and flows as the story goes on. We'll definately be picking up the pace here shortly and then it will like slow down again as we reach the next step in the story. As far as how long the story will go on I'm not sure about timeline wise as I don't really have a hard one set. I know at what point I want the story to end but I'm not setting any hard dates about when I get there. I just make sure I'm continually moving the story forward.The beginning of any good tale is a bit slower paced while the core of the story, central characters, and any pertinent lore or settings are fleshed out. Yeah, I know, nothing like stating the obvious. My reason for saying this is that I agree with you about the pacing. I think it will need to continue at this pace for another update or even two. As you have said, many of the characters we've been introduced to so far need more depth. I think things will pick up when the football season starts. Keep in mind we have an entire senior year of high school to traverse. Honestly, I could see this story going all the way up to at least part of MC's college career, and maybe even into his pro career. Buckle up. It may be a long story. Dunno, maybe Remveer will comment.
Even though you say one year of development is a concern, I would point out that there have been four substantial releases in that time. That's an update every three months. That's a very respectable pace; especially for a lone developer. If he can maintain that pace, I think he will have no problem keeping fans immersed in the story, and looking forward to updates.
Of course, this is all speculation. We shall see. For now, I'm enjoying the story and happy to go along for the ride.
I want to increase the pace at which I'm releasing more content as well. Unfortunately the bills never stop needing to be paid so I have to try to balance my 9-5 and home life with my dev life. I'm slowly getting better at finding a workflow that works best for me and the support from the game has allowed me to deny OT every once in a while. The increasing support has also made it easier to justify missing some family events. Thank you all for the valid excuse btw! Sometimes I don't want to attend my twice removed 3rd cousin's annversiary cookout!
Hey everyone! I wanted to create character cards for some of the characters. I think the trading card look for them came out really cool! motseer had a fun idea to release a week of teasers so I'm going to be releasing one a day for the next week! Starting off with the lovely Lianna. Hope you enjoy getting to know her just a little bit better!
