There is none, patreon would smite us into starvation if we did that, we might make some unoficial patch or have some work around for it but you didn't hear that from me.

Wouldn't it just be easier to be able to choose the relationship between Grace, Mia and the main character? Many devs with patreon do this, and patreon can't do anything about them. Altough you would have to rewrite a lot of stuff in the game probably. The verbal comunication between a character and his mother and sister VS the comunication between a character and his father's friend and daughter would be totally different.

That's exactly what we're not counting on, at least until the game is out of early access.

Ugh half-assed iPatches annoy me... So far all people have done is set the variables and done nothing about the MC constantly calling her Grace, references to the MC being a tenant paying rent, and lines that don't make sense for them being family.

If you are going to pervert the dev's vision do it right:

(For GoV v0.9.5)
- Restores the deleted PC so you can choose if characters use nicknames at game start. (ie Bro/Sis/Son or using names.)
- MC always calls Grace "Mom" when her name was hardcoded. (and the narrator refers to her as "your mom/mother")
- Alters all lines about tenants/rent.
- Increases references to family relations and increases taboo references/dialogue.
- Corrects a few lines for English.

To install simply save this file in the "game" subfolder. No overwriting of any files necessary.
This is a pure dialogue replacement/label hijack mod which should not break future versions, however it will not replace any new dialogue lines in future versions. (But variables will obviously remain set)


Garden of Venus Unofficial Grace TV Event Bugfix v1
(For GoV v0.9.5)
- Grace's late night TV repeatable event currently triggers before the event which is supposed to set it up. This should fix that.

To install simply save it in the "game" subfolder. No overwriting of any files is necessary.
This can be used with ipatch but does not require it.
Do NOT use with future versions as this replaces a screen label which may be changed by the dev to add additional content in the future. (Ideally the Dev will fix this themself at some point too... Sadly they still have not though...)



As always with my releases, any feedback is certainly welcome especially if I missed/broke anything.

The attachments are browser links, they don't patch or effect anything, right clicking says to save link, clicking it opens the browser page, dragging and dropping just adds the link to the game folder

Edit: Nevermind, I got it. Just had to open the link and save the entire webpage (If you remove the txt ending)

I honestly find that a bit strange, too.

GoV already uses only ~85-90% quality webp (95% for lewd close-ups) / ~65% quality VP9, which I found to be the lowest I could go without making things start to look notably worse.
It also uses overlays instead of full images whenever that saved a worthwhile amount of space.

Basically, any recompressed builds are pretty much guaranteed to have a visible quality loss if you compare side by side, as recompressing from lossy makes things even more lossy than if the source images were lossless.
You can't compress GoV much more than I already did without degrading quality quite a bit, and I think the game is small enough that saving 300 MB isn't worth the quality loss, especially on PC/Mac.
