Can you play this game solely as a sub/on a femdom path? The description sounds interesting, but I'm not at all into maledom or futadom so I'm curious whether it's possible to avoid that content...

Regarding the futa content, that's constrained to one scene only, so it should be easily skippable (there is some femdom included and the futa aspect is more like a sex toy, so I'll leave that up to your discretion).

There currently isn't a way to do "full sub" yet. However, there is more sub content than dom content in the game. A few scenes are supposed to be male dom or no domination, but the sub and neutral content outweighs the dom content. You'll probably have to do some manual skipping here and there until we can add an easy skip button for the scenes.

Regardless of if you try it now or wait till later, I hope you enjoy it.

I'm not agreeing with that other guy or even dissatisfied with this game, I do want to point out it does kinda make the "visual" part of the "visual novel" kind of a misnomer here. It's just a novel.
Unfortunately, there aren't any other tags which would be applicable, and just tagging it Ren Py isn't much of a descriptor. It's certainly not as accurate as I would like. However, this is the definition listed in the Game Uploading Rules thread: "Visual novel: Focus on story, minimal choice:text ratio, vast majority of choices are dialogue based, minimal player input."

While obviously, "visual" imparts a certain expectation, the OP clearly states it's a text-based game, so you don't start playing something you don't want. In short, it's not entirely clear due to tag selection, but no real harm is being done.

wasn't disagreeing with that. Only said visual novel is a misnomer in this case, I realize website constraints limit things that can't be helped. I'm not really complaining, was only saying the other person isn't totally unreasonable in their expectation, however much they were warned before hand.

Oh, I'm aware you weren't disagreeing, but just explaining it here so other people who aren't aware of the site limitation can know why it's like that is all.

Unfortunately this left me with a negative impression, if not without some redeeming qualities.

The main redeeming qualities are that the writing is decent and that there seems to be a good focus on in-depth sex scenes that are a bit different; and with the setup certainly some potential for wacky fun.

The main problem is that you're just thrown into things; you barely know what the heck is going on, why the heck anything is going on, who those people are - frankly even how they look aside from specific bits relevant to the current sex scene; arguably, the game introduction in this thread is more of a story than the "game".

Also, unless I somehow massively missed something, it's two sex scenes connected with some banter in-between and then some additional "future scenes" tagged on in the end. Barely what I'd call a demo. Not much in terms of choices either, can't even change anything about the protagonist (like the name ...), just some influence on how the sex scenes play out (which is fine but, eh, for a game ... ).

As for the writing; there's some proofreading misses, which, whatever, can be fixed, but it's got a bit of a tendency to wander between 3rd limited from Jesse's POV and then into omniscient where you get an almost computer log-like style on what's going on.

X is doing this or that.

Y is doing this other thing.

Z is doing that thing.

Y is doing something different now.

While I think the scenes are generally not bad, they do sometimes fail a bit at being as immersive as they could be, and imo it's got to do with the POV. The fact that it's 2nd person for the protagonist tells me POV should be more tightly controlled around the protagonist. But, ok, maybe that's just me.

Either way some potential there but not enough done with it yet to be too positive about things; sorry.

Well, shit, I see what happened, something was left in the files of the game that skips most of the actual story, that's totally on me and I'll get a fix out today for it. No excuse for that, and I feel a bit silly now.

The POV is something that went well for beta reading, most people seemed not to mind that the protagonist is his own character but the POV is 2nd person. It's certainly not an orthodox style but I'll see how I can improve it in future scenes.

Really, you telling me about this bug (and it is a bug because there's a whole like 70k words missing) is honestly super helpful, thank you.

Well, that's one heck of a bug :ROFLMAO:

I just want to clarify it's not about the use of 2nd person for the protagonist. It's about whether the narration is limited (to the protagonist) or (pseudo-)omniscient (some narrator seeing everything and telling us about it).

Most of the time it feels like the typical modern literature approach of having a limited POV. Like, you open the door, you see what's inside, then the reader/player and the protagonist know at the same time. And what the protagonist doesn't know, the player/reader doesn't get to know either.

But in some of the sex scenes, where the writing veers into paragraphs sorta like "this girls does x. that girl does y. that girl does z." it gives more an omniscient vibe. It's not really narrated to stick close to what the protagonist can see, feel, touch etc., it's just "she does that". And I feel it makes the sex scenes less immersive. Like sometimes "you" can probably just hear somebody doing something, maybe sometimes you'd feel it, maybe sometimes you'd guess or fantasize ... but "you" couldn't just describe the mechanics of everyone involved with dry precision (esp. if stuff happens behind you or whatever ...).

To be specific, when you fuck Lucy's tits, you are facing her head, but magically know about everything that Kat is doing, down to her pubes. Now maybe the story actually explains some sort of magical perception the protagonist has, but without that explanation, that's downright impossible ;) "You" could probably still make some guesses, feel some things, hear some things, but you wouldn't know.

But, just my take on that. ^^

Okay, a fix has been successfully implemented for PC/Linux and Mac. Android will take a bit longer, but should be up within the day.

Ah, I know what you mean. I had always interpreted that as being the protagonist's thoughts of what's happening to some degree too, but it's not first person so those thoughts aren't contextualized like he would think since it's still 2nd person. This is what I mean by unorthodox, it's definitely a blend of 2nd and 3rd semi-omnicient, but my intention with the latter is to use the physical cues to imply that's what's happening in the protagonist's perception (but really the actual writing is just stating what's happening so it's not that ambiguous in every scene).

I could maybe tweak the writing in some instances to make it more "immersive" like having the protag turn his head to see Kat doing things, but that may not work in some other cases (which you should now hopefully be able to see, lol).

It is a bit of a cold open due to the nature of how the project started and the intended focus of it, lol. I guess bizarre people come up with bizarre ideas. It was originally based off of the "funding for real life catgirls" meme, and it became this fun project.

Was curious why this has so little posts, no reviews, etc (I don't write those for such early dev games, but many do). Its just a bunch of text with no real choices. Feels like it needs art, meaningful choice, etc, to actually be noticed. The op has a pic of girls but the game doesn't really seem to. So you're just reading through a story full of character it doesn't really properly tell us about and being given the choice 'do X or do Y'. I'm not sure if these choices have permanent effects beyond the scene they're in because it switches girls like all the time. You can't choose to not be dommed by the wannabe dom chick, just to reverse it part way through. can't not sleep with anyone. Can't actually properly ignore the skippable content, I think, since its skipping it, but I think its still happening off-screen.
The choice to skip questionable content is nice except it doesn't actually work. Or, for the futa scene it doesn't. Loops infinitely.
Problem is that the game is entirely writing and the writing isn't particularly good. Its very rushed. You go from
- you are here, these are people
- they like you
- they enter an open relationship with you where they fuck you once per day
Ridiculously fast. The characters aren't written like hentai brainlets where this'd make sense, they're working girls who respect themselves decently enough.
I did like mc politely telling them to fuck off with their ultimatum on picking which chick to be with, although he agrees to sleeping with both absurdly fast. One of them just goes 'oh yea we're gonna take turns fucking you' and he's instantly fine with that. Its a pretty big decision and he literally just had a convo with tentacle girl about how big a decision it is and then he's so casual about it even though just like 2 scenes ago he recognized how easily them fighting for his affection could go wrong.

The actual sex is okay. You did this. She did that. Its functional. I appreciate the pink options. Seemingly those are 'fuck dom/sub roles just have loving sex'. Very rare a game gives that option. Even in this I don't think its always there. Honestly probably its biggest selling point right now, although the people it'd mostly appeal to may be put off by the fact the mc's a manwhore openly fucking multiple girls at once, so he doesn't really come off that loving.

I think you have a bit of a misunderstanding of what the purpose of the game is and its current state. It's clearly labeled "text-based" because that is the intended form of the game. There're no extremely significant choices beyond which sex acts you want to view, and the occasional joke choice, because the purpose of the game isn't to be a choose your own adventure or VN with routes. It's meant to be a game that "follows a linear path with choices in most H-scenes, serving as a catalogue of what I and my team would like to write about in future projects" - The OP. Nowhere in the game or in the OP does it say it has a branching storyline or anything of the sort.

The fact that the game is tagged as text-based should already tell you there won't be sprites or images in the game unless otherwise clearly stated.

As I've said in other posts in this thread, including the OP, you're not meant to skip every scene and the OP lists what is considered "vanilla" and therefore unskippable (meaning they cannot be skipped with choices, you can still manually skip anything you want). Of course the events still happen without you seeing them, because they would happen whether the player views them or not. It's not a complete self-insert porn game where you choose anything and everything, that's not the purpose.

It seems you found a bug with that particular scene not skipping properly. Sorry about that, I'll get a fix for it implemented within a few days.

I'm aware the content of the prologue appears a bit rushed, because the first release admittedly was in order to actually get something out into the world. The game is clearly in an unfinished state, but the writing taken on its own holds up as proof of concept and a bit of a look into what the direction for the game is. As I've listed in the changelog in the OP, fleshing out the prologue and chapter 1 with more development is next on the agenda for the game.

Considering that the game is not in a finished state, some suspension of disbelief is also expected if the terms of the relationship seem unreasonable in the beginning. I don't really understand how you can call the MC a manwhore when all parties involved consent and it's a harem game. Yes, it is fast for progression currently, but nothing in the writing gives the impression of the MC being a player or any other similar term.

The pink choices are a bit of wholesome fun to add a bit more character, not necessarily being sexual, even. But I don't understand where you're getting the idea that dom/sub roles only exist without love. Most sex positions are based on one partner being on top and the other being on the bottom. Even despite the rushed beginning, the writing in and out of H-scenes highlights how loving the MC is to each girl and how loving they are to him.

The misunderstanding that the game is catered to any one demographic is one that could've easily been avoided by reading the OP more thoroughly. It's not meant for only doms, subs, romantics or anything else. It's just a game that you can choose to enjoy or not, with guidances to help you avoid content that you dislike.

While your observation of the prologue's writing being a bit rushed is correct, and you did help to find a small bug in the game, I feel like your expectations would have been different and your criticism fairer if you had read the OP more carefully. It has plenty of context that would quell these concerns before you even open the game. That, in addition to the early state of the game, should give quite a bit of leeway as to its current form.
