I'M SO surprised that Eliette/one of her friends hasn't cast some sort of protection spell on the MC, we know they can do that since they did it in the lil college side story or whatever.
The college side story is pretty much a more advanced version of their society, with electrical lights in classrooms and everything. The fact that it's side story means its also loaded with handwavium to make it work since it doesn't really matter in the long run anyways.

You mean the guest characters? If so, "never ever", sorry man. At best you'll get official characters who are almost the guest characters but legally distinct(TM), like Rhys to Makla.

They basically said: "we want to concentrate more on the main story. As such we will move them to their own thing" and gave the corporate version of "we're never touching it ever again" so do with that what you will
They were the guest characters (the ones designed and payed for by high tier patreons); their stories were inconsequential to the main story, and delayed production significantly.
So the devs decided to put them on hold and focus on the main characters. It wasn't a dickish move, more like a production choice; at the current rhythm, five characters get a scene and a CG (with variations) each every month.

I agree with this, if we can get more lore + progression through the paths at the cost of illustrations then I'd like that more. Don't get me wrong, I'm still waiting for that eventual scene where you have "sex" (or rather get sexually devoured) by Bezvy, but if that gets delayed and routes overall get more progression I'd prefer that
Tbh, I think the game is heading down a more lore and story telling based path. Given how it's somewhat toned down on the porn stuff (not by a lot but you get what I mean). So I wouldn't be surprised if that happened. Now that would detract some people from the game, but I'm sure there will still be enough people interested for it to keep going. Or they could make an alternative that's just story/lore without the porn idk
You think so? Feels like every update recently has had some sort of sexual interaction, sometimes to the point of feeling a bit forced or cliched even.
If there was to be a path that's just lore with no porn though, I feel like it would possibly be the Sheina route where you keep taking "I'm just here to find answers" options.

Exactly. If you can deatch a porn side from a porn game without it getting any bit worse, then it's a really good game.

I doubt it, Sheina can't handle herself under the alcohol. I think that Croixelle path would fit better.
The game is set in the 1800's they have steam and steam machines..which means they had the industrial revolution (or at least one kingdom did) which would place them in the early 1800's late 1700's. That is pretty recent for the usual fantasy setting
I still feel like this should 100% be within their capabilities.
Given what magic has been used for in the series so far, an "angel" being unable to cast a protection spell to protect a human that is also a "pure soul"(based on what we know abt that) is kinda ridiculous.
Also you could argue that the sidestory isn't even as technologically forward vs the main story (Timfalme and (Keishima to a certent extent) do have stuff like electricity).
Magic in GG just seems to be much less of a consistent, and definitely isn't a well-explained ability, just something to patch a quick plot hole/create an excuse for a plot, or whatever. kinda disappointing

Colledge is a lore-unfriendly spin off made for fun mostly, so it's obivous that they will make MC immortal or something. It makes me wonder though, why in actual story the only character who was kind enough to use this protection spell is Yakuu? And if it wasn't ironical enough that actual murderer used protection spell on her slave, she used it for torturing. Why none of other guardians did that? I'm sure that at least Maryen had all the reasons for it given her situation.
