for me v 1.42 has a gamebreaking bug where when you open doors and you stand in the area where the door swings open you get catapulted out of the map and so you are forced to restart the game and start from scratch. Is there any fix for this?

nope, just stand back or move back when they open. hope next update it may be fixed. Since the latest compression these bugs started.

Can't even get past this cause after I "press "E" to continue" the screen goes black and I get an error and then the game just crashes and shuts down

It's been like that for a WHILE.
While this guys games were jank and cryptic as all fuck the scenes and scenarios were pretty good if you had the endurance to suffer through the gameplay.

The clown doesn't appear anymore, instead when you place the box, a new room opens on the same floor with a few more scenes.As for the game itself, some bad endings have a bug when loading, they just close the game. Basically, the game needs a walkthrough because it's obvious that not everyone can get to the end, they dont see all the scenes and often waste time not knowing what to do. I guess that's what the game is about and it's a shame because the game had serious potential.

tragic really. my gf and i both rly enjoyed this game. even with its issues, theres a lot of fun things going on.
