nope, just stand back or move back when they open. hope next update it may be fixed. Since the latest compression these bugs started.
I hope one day a legend with time on their hands might post a video playthrough on here.

Can't even get past this
cause after I "press "E" to continue" the screen goes black and I get an error and then the game just crashes and shuts down

It's been like that for a WHILE.
While this guys games were jank and cryptic as all fuck the scenes and scenarios were pretty good if you had the endurance to suffer through the gameplay.
