Was looking forward to playing this. Saw the installation guide and gave up. If you want more players and fanbase and supportersi suggest something of an easier approach for a porn game.

If i wanna do 20 minutes of making and moving folders to play a porn game i use mod manager on fallout, sims 4 or skyrim.
No offense just some advice as i can not even judge the game at this point.

Installing QSP games can look quite daunting at first.
The basics of it are:

Step 1) Download the separate Quest soft player QSP application.

Qqsp-1.9.0-win64

Step 2) Download the image and sound packs, unpack them and place them in a separate folder of your choice.

0.8.3 Core Image Pack
0.8.3 Core Sound Pack

Step 3) Download the latest version of the game qsp file and place it in the same folder.

Girl Life (0.8.3.1) .qsp

At this stage your GL folder should look like in the attached screenshot.



Step 4) Open the application Qqsp.exe and load the Girl Life (0.8.3.1) .qsp game file.

Yeah, the installation process can be a bit of a pain. Someone actually made a big all-in-one file recently, but it got taken down for some reason or another.
Still, the installation guide itself is way more of a mess than the installation itself (if whoever is managing the wiki is reading this: that's one thing that needs a major update). It's actually fairly simple, once you make sense of the thing. The only issues are finding a workable link to the QSP-player (the wiki doesn't have one, my post right above yours has all kinds) and downloading everything required (again, there was an all-in-one file, but it got removed by the download site).
Essentially, what you need to do is (based of my last installation and some general advise):
1. Create a big folder (Girl Life or whatever you want to call it) in some directory
2. Download the following:
a) Core Image Pack (pick one, there are currently multiple in the folder)
b) Core Sound Pack
Additionally, I recommend you download the two Feature Lock Image Packs and the Dev Build Image pack, to be on the safe side, but I believe the game can run with just the core pack (Devs? Did I get it right?). There's also a file with additional hair colors, but I know that one to be purely optional.
3. Extract the Sound Pack with 7ZIP or WinRAR into the main directive, as it should be already a folder called 'sound' with everything in it (at least it was when I downloaded)
4. Extract the Core Image Pack into the main directive (again, it should already stored in one folder called 'images'). If you downloaded any other image packs, check if they too are already in a folder titled 'images'. If they are, extract into main directive. If they aren't in any folder, select the images folder and extract there. If they are in a folder which for some reason isn't titled 'images', go into that folder in the extraction program and check again (repeat if necessary). Once you reach the images themselves, select all and extract into the 'images' folder.
5. Download the QSP for Girl Life and copy it into the main directory.
6. If you haven't already, download the QSP-player and extract it to wherever you want (though I advise against the game folder). Links can be found here:

I think that there's an android version somewhere too, but I'm too dumb to find it right now.
7. Play the game and enjoy
Doesn't take 20 minutes AFAIK, either (unless the downloads are messing around). There might be an issue with MEGA not letting you download everything, but that one only comes up if you're a dum-dum like me and forget to read the file names and accidentally download the Core Image Pack multiple times xD.

I didn't think it was that difficult. Installed program, downloaded complete mega, found program through explorer, started playing.

will the game work without sounds folder?
and back then there were 0.8.3 Dev Build Image Packs ...dunno if they were merged with current 083 core pack.



when trying to use clothsets

and gnerally messy here . cannot find maid uniform . i think it was in gmstores ...in uniforms subsection...but not anymore
compared to 822 qsp file - yeah lots of shops sections are missing. should clothes be bought again?

Hi,

Love this game, thanks for keeping it up! I had some issues with the new version, but thought they would get fixed and didn´t.

Basically three:

1) Tit flashing selfies not working.. nothing shows up, and the window leaves the cellphone and,
2) Lost tons of clothes I bought.. mostly some customized material. And the stores don´t seem to be refreshing every day.
3) In the galleria mall, the game crashes each time I want to see the dresses in Mon Cherie.

That's sad. There is so much school content that it can be difficult to do everything you want within that one year. I probably will not have any impact on this what so ever but couldn't you have time locked content?

Don't forget though that there is a built in Cheat Menu that permits you to jump time, so you could theoretically do almost the full school year up to just before the graduation day and then jump back to do the year again...

yeah you got to buy ll new clothes cause they all changed ........i had to start a whole new game cause my old save was incompatible for a lot of things none of the side icons would load on my save but they all work on the new game .......
so i went from having 10,000,000 rubles in the bank and a lot of fancy clothes etc ..... back to the poor house and in school again living with my parents......... yuck lol oh well life is supposed to be an adventure and i will get back there in time .... knowing my luck it will be about the time that a new patch comes out too ...IRONY

It was removed when the new bugfix version was released but is updated on the post that is linked in op now. This should remain upto date for as long as MausMaus kindly maintains it.

As I said on 0.8.3 release there are some clothes, shoes and coats that will break when updating to this version. Its part of a large rework of them and they should all remain as is for a long time now.

I'm aware of selfie issue and will have to workout that problem, it seems to be specifici ones like when in the shower ad not all of them.
As above many clothing related thing got broken with new version and some of the stores now only have limited stock so a couple have no stock rotation.
There was a problem in 0.8.3 with Mon Cheri displaying a blank dress but I can't get it to crash. Does this happen if you try with a new game?

There is some, I can think of 5 NPC's you can be dominate to eventually, most of them you have to slowly break down first.

No but we have discussed possible ways to have limited, since it is really hard to have mind control in the players hand. A NPC mind controlling the MC is a lot easier and likely will be added but I don't know of any. I don't work on the magic side of the game much.

There is/are also minor storylines that involve Sveta being a pornstar. I don't remember offhand, so you might need to look at the code, but IIRC there is a low probability scene where you watch porn with one of your schoolmates (Natasha maybe?), and if you are famous enough, there is a chance that one of your porn films shows up on the TV.

I'm hoping to get the spell learning fixed in time to be able to work on more BDSM content. I want to include another means to learn about it and to reintroduce D/s stats this time as a skill / preferrence so learning and partaking in in will increase the arousal gains and also tie into quality of shows and potential rewards for using it in the BDSM mansion. There's a lot there I need to revamp too but with clothing stuff all done this will be my main focus for now.
