Yeah it sounds like a Nutakuish monetization model.

I guess the big question is will there be time skipping items like in many free to play nutaku games or will it be for cosmetic items and so on.

My guess is that this is sort of an anti piracy measure, but if this game has a pay-to-not-wait system upon release I shall not be interested.
