Nice looking character. A mix of Goblin, Mervin and a 1984 Gremlin. And all that hair. Did you create that yourself ? Btw, which genital figure are you using ? Looks a bit more like XY than CoR, though DK is most likely here ?

The artistic draping of all the clothing is still a highlight I have to say. Some day you should do a little video, or an article on how you approach setting up your clothing.

Well I used the Mervin and hobgoblin morph for genesis 8: | for base for both the general shape and the textures. That got me 70% there. Then I sculpted on top and modified the textures until I got what I wanted.

The genitalia is just a modified DK with some added handmade details and some custom textures. So again most just detail and some general reshaping in zbrush but standard DK morphs and textures will get you 70% of the way ;)
If I had to sculpt and do all the texture work from scratch then I would never get anything done. Some more my images are however very time consuming as I have to do a lot more leg work.

Clothes however is kinda my favorite thing. So that part is something I make from scratch. Starting with reference and drawing. Then I drape in marvelous designer and fix / sculpt in zbrush.

All my texture stuff is done in photoshop and 3dcoat.

As for posing the cloth and such is just based on my personal taste. For instance with the Hermione with glasses it just felt right that she would have this sleazy look with only the cardigan half off XD

The hair on the critters I just make inside DAZ with the standbased tool. The hair on Em I export to maya and sculpt the curves into something useful and then I use dforce in DAZ to fit it all together.

Posing is a fun part. I just get an idea and go for it. Here I thought "I wonder how many can go at her at the same time?" and I just set to making a setup. Here we got a 3x anal 2x vag gangbang.

Lighting I like to setup without complex shaders so I can see clearly and test it correctly. Nothing worse than rendering something and then see a flaw!

As for post work I do some minor stuff mostly. I tend to open in photoshop and then run a simple exposure layer to maybe add a slight touch to the highlights and darkness levels. Then sometimes a Brightness/constrast layer if I feel the image needs that unrealstic more fantasy look (more constast mostly). Then a single curve levels layers to maybe add a bit of colour to the shadows like a slight blue/green/orange depending on the feel I am going for. All in all sometimes these steps are not needed as I really like to render everything in frame.

One problem of my approach is that due to the custom stuff (textures, clothes, hair, sims and so on) my scenes get very bloated and take up a lot of disk space. My "Eat the rich" work ended up getting close to 4GB just for the scene file. So I run HDD and not SSD (cant afford that haha).

And that is it really. I know some people who put way more work into their stuff than me but I am just a hobbist and so I only do what I find fun :)

Thank you for telling us all about your process. Quite a bit of it I didn't know was possible. I shall try some shenanigans with the strand hair tool as well. Nothing wrong with some unexpected bush.

Sidenote, Mervin is by far my favorite alien character and old hobgoblin my favorite goblin. I've had those two climb all over my favorites. Oso skins are also terribly useful I find. For the Hobgoblin, one the most useful hair appliances for me was the . I'm still wating for a good deal for Ollie 8 Pro Bundle because I love out-of-norm characters as well.

I put it all together in DAZ but depending on what I am doing you cant do it in base DAZ. However, something like penetrations (if not anims) can easily be done inside DAZ only. You got d-formers and now the built in mesh grabber (basic editing tool). Then you got deforce that you can also use plus smoothing modifiers. If all else fails you can always make a new morph for what genitalia you are using in a 3d editing program (Blender/Maya or whatever).

I am familiar with Daz, just never did anything other than pin-ups, if this is possible only with DAZ and some plug-ins I'll definitely try, thanks a bunch!

have you used marvelous designer for dforcing compared to daz default dforce. its amazing. there are things you can do in it not possible in daz. there's a quick workflow to get it into MD and back to daz.
