Probably because of the japanes letters in your directory. Not sure where you got your version. Try to rename those letters to "Goblin burrow" or whatever you like and then it should work for you.
Can't use a Japanese save for the English release cause it changes the game back into Japanese. I can switch it back to English in the game, but the gallery breaks.

The temporary way to fix it is to change the language back to Japanese then skip that bugged section.

Use gamehub to play, change the language in the game container application's own settings to JP, and I don't know about the full screen resolution problem because I'm also having the same problem.

yeah tried a lot fixing the missing "]" on the code, but anything i do can make the game accept the altered data.xp3 and the game doesn't read loose files.
