hm ok it will likely take me a week or longer to do a playthrough, given it's holidays and all that irl stuff.
i will try to reproduce the same error here locally.

however, if you upload the latest save right before that error, someone else might find it way quicker.
it could be the most recent of the AUTO saves, they're the first 3 in the saves folder, always created when entering a location.

Any ideas guys? This error appears during that scene every time. Have tried on both compressed and full version downloads of v0.57P

It is at the moment the guard comes out after this animation

I'm on the most recent v0.57.1.1 now and I still get the same error. Right after the hilarious cut scene, it scrolls to the guard slightly and then throws the error.

What's the hec wrong with this game? It's impossible to play, sine ANY battle is just a deathmatch, since enemies deal damage about 20%-40% of total HP of MC per hit and about 90% of total HP per crit! And they crit allot!

in the latest download, the file !Map001.rpgmvp was missing. you can copy it from an older version into www/images/parallaxes and it works fine.

well, they want you dead, so it's always a deathmatch to begin with.
then, you have one easy option even asked at the beginning of a new game: do you want the cheat skill?
Yes or No question, built in by the dev cheat skill.
i mean.. it can't become more obvious, and you apparently haven't looked in this thread for any solution.
even you get told by the dev, that the battles are not yet balanced out.
the other option would be, use the GRINDR to grind up to a really high level, i'd estimate to be lvl 15+ together with all followers and have tons of potions would help in fights. it would probly take a few hours repeatedly kill some few Gobs, get out, get in and kill some more. could be lessay 10 hours or so up to lvl 15, i never even tried it and there's no reward, hence the name; you grind.

that's your 2 options. so that's not what's wrong with this game. probly you didn't bother reading.

Try useing "Holy Light" if they can't hit you it's manageable... but keep a stock of Mana Potions for this

Not the map error, only occurs when starting combat.

It has happened in two different locations before combat. Battle with the snakes and battle with Neko in tomb.
