My prediction, you can treat it with caution and distrust. Based on my personal feelings. The update will be released at the end of August and will be available in September-October.

That would be disappointing considering the last progress report. Unless in the meantime he decided to significantly increase the number of events (animations and renders), it would mean that he significantly slowed down the work on the game. On the other hand, Patreon's support is not dropping, why would he be in a hurry? If there is no announcement on Patreon tomorrow (he usually posts on Sundays), the concern will be justified. But on the other hand, if the support on Patreon remains the same, it is possible for this to drag on regardless of the lack of communication.
I don't expect much from this sequel, it seems to me that we will have "only" the development of already existing scenes or new variations of old events (the trip with Felix and Diana to onesan), I conclude that from the preview scenes. I wish I was wrong and that the sequel would be better than the last one. The last one was great, I was hoping that he would keep the concept and introduce a secondary character in each sequel, while the development of the main characters would happen simultaneously and gradually.
But who knows, maybe he'll surprise us with his speed and quality.

News.

Good news and bad news.
Good news are dev build is next week for DEVs test, not T5. It's just mostly my shitty coding to test it out before i'll add it to the rest of the Diana's scenes. Another good news is I love you.
That's it.
Bad news are dev build is next week for DEVs test, not T5. It's just mostly my shitty coding to test it out before i'll add it to the rest of the Diana's scenes.
Jokes aside I tried to explaind in Discord what the heck i'm trying to do. And... i think it's done? Kinda. It's turned out not as compicated as i wanted to do, but good enough to start with without breaking the code later. Worth it.
If everyting is alright, i'll just add some dialogues here and there, set some missed renders.
Then translation. And T5 test with everyting inside.

I'm usually starting the poll for the next update before the release, but 0.7 is going to be a patch(?). There some scenes that I didn't yet finished, so i will add em all there togeher with some coding. Also I forgot to add changes to harem scenes with new type of relationship with Diana/MC/Felix, so it's also gonna be there.

He does put out updates — but yeah, it takes a lot of time.

Compared to other devs like the ones behind Eternum, BAD, Ripples, Summer Heat, or Desert Stalker, Golden Mean is more about sheer content. Tons of it. The story doesn't really go anywhere — it’s more like background flavor than actual plot progression.

So game appeared here 2 years 10 months ago, so 2 years and 2 months till 0.5 version and now 8,5 monts(so far) for 0.6 version. Interesting.

To be honest, idk if this is his only income or not, but the guy only has 289 members on Patreon, I doubt he's pulling ridiculous numbers.
Some of you guys act like all the devs here have DarkCookie's numbers and milking power.
