I guess he had problems with hemorrhoids, sitting for long periods of time is not recommended; so, probably due to these circumstances, work on the game is not progressing. It's hard to say, I'm not his Patreon, and DrMolly, who is the only real author, communicates via Discord, but as far as I know, less and less often.
His assistant who tests the game and helps with the translation and occasionally does fan art and actually takes care of communication and discord channel administration, besides that he did parts of the scene with the prostitute but it was removed from the game, his name is Dax, and he probably made the Christmas teaser.
Last I heard was that after 2 years DrMolly will play the game himself. It's possible that he's not happy with many things and is working on fixes. He seemed a bit bitter with the fans' constant complaints about grinding, who knows, maybe he just got bored with it all.

Just getting in to this title. I saw some posts in this thread of folks who don't care for Dottie. I didn't read every post and I don't know the balance but absolutely love the Dottie content. It's what I've re-watched the most. Everyone has their own aesthetic and no shade on those who don't like her but... love me some Dottie.
